Tampa gave up the least sacks in the league and we destroyed their line

I can't see how we won't generate any pressure on San Francisco.

Everyone says Tampa is awful, but their pass protection obviously isn't. We didn't get many sacks on Brady, but we forced him to get rid of the ball early a lot, and forced him well short of the sticks a bunch of times - he had to move on every 2nd play. If we duplicate that same effort on the 49ers, it's gonna be hard to beat us. Knowing Purdy scrambles better, but he hasn't played the Eagles, Cowboys, Patriots, or Chiefs and the more aggressive front 7s so who know how he'll look this week.

I know what people are thinking.... where was the pass rush from Houston thru Washington? Good question, but I don't think we lost the ability to rush. I think injuries was a huge reason. And now that we're mostly healthy, we might see a revitalized team. The Jacksonville game is blown out of proportion.... we looked like we were going to run them out the building until Kelvin Joseph's one play ruined everything, and it just went downhill from that point on. If Kelvin Joseph doesn't make that one technical blunder, we probably cruise to a victory. That game was more about Joseph than any other deficiency. Against the Eagles, our pass rush was a no show again, but I thought that was more or less expected. They're 14-3 for a reason - their offense was gonna find a way to do what they've been doing all year, regardless who's Quarterback.... and that's not mentioning that Minshew might even be a better passer than Hurts. I knew that game was gonna be offensively oriented from the start. I thought we started to round back to form against the Titans and Commanders. Not at the level we were at the beginning of the year, but better than the 3 game stretch of Houston-Philadelphia, and now we're slowly trending our way up starting from the Bucs.

So which streak was the anomaly.... Houston-Philadelphia or what we've been doing most of the year? Better yet, do you think we'll be able to rush the passer against the 49ers?

Uhh Their oline is pretty bad, they gave up so little because Brady rarely takes sacks

Not sure I buy that. He's gonna go down if a man is in his face and his grill. He's not some super human. Their offensive line is definitely good in pass protection, maybe not run blocking.

Lol no, he gets the ball out quick or throws it away. Anybody who says the Bucs are good in pass protection obviously didn't watch them this season

PFF ranked the Bucs Oline #4 at the start of the season........but I'm not sure how many starters they were missing Monday night. Either way, the point about pressures is a good one. I'm not many fans know this but we finished in the middle of the pack in team sacks but No.1 in pressures. That's huge......it's exactly what Brady saw all night, forcing him to make decisions faster than he would like.

Their line sucks. Brady just throws it away before he gets sacked.

You can’t say the bucs OL is good but don’t give up sacks

Then say we destroyed their line but didn’t get many sacks

That doesn’t work

Ok... do you think the 49ers offensive line is way better?

ESPN ranks their pass block win rate Tampa 55%, San Francisco 59%. I guess I just wanna hear that our chances to win this week are as high as possible.

Sacks and destroying the line aren’t the same thing.
We didn’t get our second sack until the end of the game, but we did pressure all game.
SF has the best OT in the game. If we line Parsons up on Trent Williams all game, I don’t think we will like the results, especially vs the run.

Yawn Wirfs is an all pro second time. Parsons will do the same to Trent.

Brady doesn't hold the ball long. If the designed play isn’t there he throws the ball out of bounds or to the ground. You rarely see him trying to extend plays. At 45 years old with guys on the field half his age I wouldn't either. Get rid of the ball and try again next play.

Hold your horses partner.
Tampa COULD NOT run the ball! That was the key! Tampa was one dimensional.
SF will be completely opposite. They will keep running even if they are behind.
We must contain the run if we are to have a chance. Remember GB?!

McCaffrey is just as big of a problem as Purdy.

They have great balance on offense. Really great balance everywhere.
