Chatter about a number of players, and this tidbit:

"North practice was crisper. Jason Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys did not like what he saw or heard during stretches and ordered the players to do their jumping jacks again. Instead of going through the motions and muttering their count, the squad jumped in unison and barked "one, two, three" like an elite Navy Seals battalion. It was a funny moment, and it also seemed to have an impact on team energy levels."

He could really help this team but if there is a QB worth taking at 4 we better take him. You don't get a shot at a QB every year

A few weeks ago people were saying we could get Bosa with our 1st pick and trade back into the 1st to get Wentz. Now people are saying we could get Wentz with our 1st pick and trade back into the 1st to get Rankins. Pretty soon people will be saying we could get either Wentz or Rankins with our 1st pick.

Really like this guy. Have for a while. Be interesting to see where he projects following the pre-draft process. Think CBS currently has him borderline 1st-2nd. Be great to snag him in the very early 2nd...which is almost a 1st. Could well rise beyond that spot though.

We would have talent all over, the thing is how would the depth chart be set up, rankins at 3 tech? Crawford?

Think Rankins could possibly play both spots in this scheme. He's solid against the run (CBS labeling him one of the better run defenders in the draft class). Similar size to T. McClain, who has played both spots for the Boys. Rankins has a lower center of gravity to help him take on DT's...but can also shoot gaps to disrupt the run game.

Rankins, Billings or Clark. All are 1 Techniques and would be great picks in round 2 for Dallas. If any of them make it to that pick.

Im sticking with Ramsey at 4 until I see more at the combine and pro days from the QB's.

Rankins is a fine 3 tech prospect but he is not on the same planet as Donald. I would take him at 34 in a heart beat but I do not think its likely he falls out of the top 20.
