Last week DeMarcus Lawrence had to get ready for a mobile quarterback in Cam Newton. This week it is a little less stressful with Eli Manning. “I mean he’s a Super Bowl champ, so you can’t sit here and talk bad about Eli,” Lawrence said, “but then again he is a pocket quarterback. He’s going to look down his target. Once his targets ain’t there, then I mean, he’s got to take the sack. He’s already in the pocket, so he ain’t going to be able to just throw it out. Sometimes that’s smart football and sometimes I feel like it’s fear. Take it how you want.”

This game is one of the best games for Tank to start solidifying his long term contract. If he’s lined up over Flowers (or really anyone on that O line) he should have a minimum of 3-4 sacks or at least a couple sacks and a bunch of hurries because Eli does get rid of the ball quick, he’s used to having no O line.

FLOWERS gonna have a Chaz Green type day Sunday.

That is what we all thought seeing Carolina's beaten up tackles last week. Lawrence played decently, but it is not like he was terrorizing Newton on every single play.
That's bc cam Newton moves.

The rt was also getting a lot of help, iirc.

I promise you, Flowers is no Newton. If our D line doesn’t stop Barkley on the majority of plays and get in Elijahs face almkst every passing play then this team has bigger issues than we ever imagined. I think this will be one of the worst O lines we play all season, if not THE worst.

Eli seems to count to two and throw it away. Thats how he has stayed healthy. He throws it about as soon as it hits his hands. He's hard to sack for that reason.
