The initial excitement about the signing of the Tank has quickly died. He may become that player. But for now he still has work to do.

Just Low Octane right now...........

needs a "shot" of ethanol

As rusty as he was, it will take him some more games to get into it. The impatience of some people NEVER fails to amaze me.

:hammer:

well now we need to remember that in terms of game time he is pretty much at the end of preseason...and is in a new scheme where he does not get the majority of snaps

and i don't think we expected him to come in and be an immediate beast for us, we just wanted him to give Ratliff some breathing time, and hopefully get some good pressure and contain in the middle

but let's save judgement on him for now, if he continues to not do much of anything by the end of the season, then we can start wondering what's up

His expected impact was overexaggerated from the beginning. He is giving Ratliff some rest and allowing more of a rotation for our DL - that is fine by me.

Exactly.

Not only is that fine by me... its needed..... nothing like FRESH defenders out there on the field. Its a hidden, untalked about value

he recieved way to much hype in the 1st place. i have never seen more hype for a guy who's playing nt in a 3-4 defense

Maybe he's a hybrid and needs some other fuel.

He has sort of just, disappeared.

I think that, in the long run, he will do fine.

Tank is on empty now, but I have faith he'll load up the chambers, take out the big weapons and show up guns-blazing with bullet-like precision and machine-gun tenacity.

:nono: :laugh2:

Just the fact that he's able to sub in for Ratliff, keeping Ratliff fresh is enough of a positive for me. Haven't you noticed how much better Ratliff is rushing the QB in the 4th quarter now?

And Canty is stepping up big-time...

Not to split hairs, but its more like HUGE TIME :laugh2: . He really has been awesome the last few weeks.

I remember when we were going to cut Marc Colombo in the offseason.

Cripes, the NG postition isn't one that gets a lot of "love," if you will. The idea that one thought he'd come in a go on a sack tear is nonsense.

Jones & WP have praised JRatliff for his play recently, Tank had the same stat line for the game last night as Jay, ... 1 tackle.

NT's go unnoticed quite a lot of the time.

Grant only had 32 yds on 13 carries other than the 62 yd anamoly.

They both seem to be doing their job.
