Why in the world would we want Watt? He is washed and the other thing, he isn't lasting close to a full season. Quit going after these washed up has been used to be big names. It won't get us anywhere.

That’s crazy. Jerry wants to win more than anybody ... he just doesn’t know how to without Jimmy or Troy

I guess you missed the radio interview this past season where Jerry said his priorities were to be 'relevant' and 'interesting'. He only added winning after being called out by the radio host.

Jerry doesn't care for winning as much as some may think. He admitted as much to a national audience.

if watt is willing to come here on a cheap 2 year contract as a rotational player sure, hell no to "P2".

Looking at his stats. I didn't realize he had dropped off that much. Did he get a big contract and suddenly his number nosedived?
No. His body started breaking down and he started slowing down.

JJ Watt threads are more evidence Cowboys fans are pretty clueless when it comes to the NFL landscape. They googled his sack numbers and think he's washed. He was really good last year based on every advanced metric. No, he is no longer one of the elite players in the league but he's at least a borderline Pro Bowler.

There's an elite level:

TJ Watt
Khalil Mack
Myles Garrett
Joey Bosa
Nick Bosa

JJ is still on the next level with guys like:

Demarcus Lawrence
Cam Jordan
Brandon Graham
Shaq Barrett
Chandler Jones and Von Miller (if healthy)

The contenders will be lining up to woo him.

After Romo made him look silly, he just gave up. :muttley:
Watching that play, I immediately wondered what Watt was thinking in real-time as it was happening.
I imagine it was Holy... another word followed.
And then knowing something bad was about to happen against his team.

Great moment. Legendary play.
