I was just able to watch most of the Rams game on my DVR last night and I noticed that I did not see Charles Tapper in the lineup. Does anyone know if he played in the game? Or is he injured? Maybe I just missed him.
he played. i think tapper and taco rotated a bit in the 1st half.
Just a matter of actually being healthy, too.Thanks. Obviously, since I am an OU fan, I would like to see him do well. I think he has potential, just a matter of transferring that potential to a game.

That much is true. I do think his conditioning is better than when he was in college, so maybe he can take the next step.Just a matter of actually being healthy, too.
He is going to have to be a consistent force for us if we want to win - especially the first 4 games with so many DL suspended, etc
I suppose you could find reasons to say that about almost every player on the roster. I base my expectations for Tapper on his athletic ability and the fact that he was a force to be reckoned with at Oklahoma, even while he was asked to play out of position. I do not know if that will translate into the NFL, but I think the potential is certainly there. I am hopeful.Tapper may be the most overrated player on the roster. At least here on CZ
Tapper destroyed Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, which was about the only time Bob Stoops turned him loose.Tapper may be the most overrated player on the roster. At least here on CZ
Absolutely, he did a number on Alabama. Just ask AJ McCarron about that.Tapper destroyed Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, which was about the only time Bob Stoops turned him loose.
He spent all of college in a 3-4 occupying offensive lineman. The dude can get after the QB, and he has one of those motors that never stops.
I'm anxious to see what he does in the pros when he gets to play with the first teamers in a real game. He was excellent in college.
for all practical purposes.........he is a rookie. We are told to be patient with Taco, no diff. with Tapper.Tapper may be the most overrated player on the roster. At least here on CZ
Tapper was a terrific college player who has made lots and lots of plays. Taco is a physical specimen who couldn't crack the starting lineup at Michigan until his final year, and made very few plays in college. And this is only Tapper's second year.for all practical purposes.........he is a rookie. We are told to be patient with Taco, no diff. with Tapper.
Ya, some are expecting a high stat line, but he like Taco, is going to have to develop his technique in order to perform in the NFL..........3 yrs.---I consider this his 1st.
I agree. It will take a few games, maybe a year, etc., to get his sea legs.for all practical purposes.........he is a rookie. We are told to be patient with Taco, no diff. with Tapper.

What is your reasoning for saying Tapper is overrated?
