I'm actually thiking Tashard Choice may end up playing a big role this season due to Marion Barbers inability to consistently pick up descent yards and the fact Felix Jones will get injured somewhere. Those that wanted Tashard traded for a pick was rediculous because my feeling next year Marion Barber want even be on the team via cut or trade. If Felix gets injured this seaon than it's time to find out if Tashard is a every down back or it might be time to draft a Runningback for the future.

Im going to say this one more time. it matters not who the RB is. this O-line stinks to high heaven. they are flatout terrible.they cant run or pass block. stop it with the RB crap. IT's THE PITIFUL OFFENSIVE LINE!

This must be what they mean by a "downhill runner."

......and i hate it when people act like its a forgone conclusion that felix will get hurt. He received more carries than ever during the end of the year and playoffs and was just fine, and now hes bulked up.

It does matter who thee starting RB is.......thats a silly comment. You are correct the line needs work but some backs are quicker, some backs can open up their own holes and others can't do either.

I actually believe at this point that Marion Barber being the starter is simply the team showcasing him for a trade before the deadline.

This team is too good and the league is way too wide open to miss the open opportunity to get to the Super Bowl multiple times over the next decade. We cannot keep playing guys just because they're the incumbent or because they've got the big contract.

Look at this list of previous Super Bowl NFC teams in the last 10 years!

Saints
Cardinals :ralph:
Giants
Bears
Seahawks
Eagles
Panthers
Bucs
Rams

Choice is our best around back IMO. Barber thinks he's Tony Dorsett, but he's closer to Robert Newhouse without the leg muscles. Choice makes lemonade out of lemons.

How do you know how good choice is around back? It sounds like he has been around the back of you a little. ewww.

Choice was the superior RB in short-yardage situations last year. I'd rather have him in there over MBIII, who should just be a 3rd down/passing situation RB so he can help them with his pass blocking

Is he going to play center when Felix or Barber are in the game. That would be a bigger role for him! ;)

We need to give the buehler a shot at running the rock, he makes lemons out of lemonade.

IMO -Barber was most effective coming off the bench and running with a vengeance. He no longer does that, thus he is not as effective as he once was.

They are doing a piss poor job of showcasing him then. What is his average so far this preseason? Maybe 2 ypc?

MBIII was such a huge spark plug and momentum changer off the bench, it is ******** that the coaching staff cant see he should not be the starter.

Sigh....

1. Felix is constructed of glass until he proves otherwise.

2. Marion Barber is a grrreat short yardage/goal line/3rd down back.... place him in that role....

3. Choice is a feature back stuck in a RB quandary. Get him more carries...............................
