Taven Bryan

I think after passing on Watt we are going to draft a RDE. ArdenKey or Landry. If not I could see A 3tech. My dream of a lb may have to wait until round 2.

Arden Key is intriguing being 6'6 and should have the arm span to keep OT's from delivering their punch, but his weight scares me. He better have great moves because speed only wins so many times and at 237 lbs. he would get mauled. He is better suited for a 3-4 team as an OLB.

Harold Landry is 6-4 and 250 lbs. He is another OLB that had a great Jr. year. His numbers jumped off the charts. This year only played 8 games and his production went down as well as his stock just a bit. While 250 lbs doesn't scare me as bad as Key, he is still a guy who relies alot on speed.

Sadly only Chubb has the size, speed, and moves I would want as a 4-3 DE that would excel in our defense. No way he comes close to us this upcoming draft. While I like both Key and Landry, I still think the big uglys (DT's) would make us more formidable next year than a speed rusher.

We drafted Gregory at 235 lbs so I don’t think we care about weight for RDE. Plus I think Jerry will want him to make up for Gregory.

Where's he playing? The 1 Tech? You have to take BPA but your best interior DL is Irving and he plays the 3 Tech a lot and then you also have Collins.

If Bryan is a 1 Tech in Marinelli's system, great. Or is he a 3 Tech or even SDE?

My view is that you never have enough dlineman. Right now Dallas is still thin depth wise along it's front. One injury to Irving or Lawrence and suddenly they don't look nearly as formidable.

They aren't so thin at the 3 tech though. It might be the deepest spot on their DL - Irving, Collins and Crawford all can play there.

Now if Bryan can play the 1 tech in Marinelli's system or even SDE, sure.

I've said what I would do.

Sign a legit 1 Tech in FA - Logan or Poe. Then draft the best front seven player on our board - whether that be a DE, DT or LB. I'd kill for Chubb to slide to us but he won't. He's going to be the guy that I light candles for at church like the kid from Tennessee last year.

Harold Landry is another edge player I'd like us to look at. Some risk with him as he was hurt this past year and his production slipped.

I would still take the pick we did when we passed on Watt. Tyron Smith was a good choice.

I'm not sold on Collins being a true three tech. He's kind of a mix of the two spots. Crawford has demonstrated he can't take the pounding inside.

This guy would complete the DL overhaul. Love his motor and he has an Aaron Donald first step. I want Fitzpatrick or James, but would absolutely love this guy.

Totally agree.

Grab front a front 7 player and keep investing in that d. With Taco and Jaylon improving, and hopefully Lawrence and Irving on board, we could have a special defense.

Key is that 1T. They keep shortchanging that position and it holds the whole d back

Could you imagine Key, Taco and Irving all 6'6 on the DL

He would be mine too but I think he gets picked before we can have a chance
He would be top 10 if not for all the QBs. The best we can hope for is all the QBs declare to push some guys down. If he gets within a few picks I say jump up and get him
