I wonder if he will ne picked late or what any ideas

Taylor Moton, Western Michigan

Taylor Moton was a player that I had initially pegged as a guard but the Senior Bowl caused some pause for thought. Moton came out of the week in Mobile with some high praise and he’s likely a player that I’ll need to take a second look at.

Moton is a sturdily built 6-foot-5, 330-pound behemoth that moves defenders at will in the run game. He’s got a strong grip and a mean streak a mile wide, always looking to bury his man. The issue is his foot speed – while he’s not exactly slow-footed, the lack of depth in his kick slide makes his margin for error with his hands fairly low. He wasn’t exposed on tape, only allowing nine total pressures on 443 pass blocking snaps but the game gets quicker at the next level

an this kid

Antonio Garcia, Troy

Antonio Garcia might be a relatively unknown commodity when compared to someone like Robinson but he’s got big-time potential as an NFL tackle. Garcia has a prototypical frame (6-foot-6, 295-pounds) with the room to grow a little more in the early stages of his professional career. His pass protection is very impressive, showing good foot speed. His run blocking needs to be more consistent but he finishes well.

i think someone takes Moton in the 3rd and moves him to guard. Garcia is for sure a day 2 pick. He may be more potential then talent at this point but he has the length, speed, and agility to play left tackle which will get him overdrafted.

Offensive tackle should be way back in the need department. We need pass rushers & DBs. I thought Emmett Cleary played well when he came in for Ty Smith. We need to evaluate who we have before we waste a pick on a stocked position. OT should be looked at once we get real loaded at those defensive positions.

Will Holden. Any thoughts on this guy? I have researching possible 3rd day OT's and this guy is interesting. He played both RT and LT in the SEC. Strong guy, not fast enough to play LT in the NFL but he might be a nice RT. Just watched a couple films, but I am intrigued.

Both will probably get pushed up into the 2nd/early 3rd. This class is really thin at OT and teams will reach as always. Robinson, Ramczky, and Bolles will all most likely go top 45-50 and there isn't much else so can't see either lasting late.

Nope. Make the OL as dominant as possible.

If an OT is the unquestioned BPA, then take him.

The probability of getting a great pass rusher at #28 is not that high.

Taking BPA significantly increases the chance of getting a great player.

That's the operative word-unquestioned. There won't be. The OT class this year is as bad as I've ever seen it, & I've been covering the draft for 40 years. There will be an edge rusher available who is by far a better player than one of the OTs. What if the BPA is a QB? Do we really take a QB in the first freaking round, in spite of the fact we have a franchise QB, but no pass rush? You really think we won't find that a player at one of the need positions isn't better than any of the OTs they're trotting out this year? Anyway, sometimes, when it's close, you simply fill a need. By the way, which Cowboys SB winning team had a mediocre defense? SB losing team? Yeah, I thought so.

I'm only interested if his middle initial is "B"

Like Moton more as a Guard. Garcia is a good one too. Ugokwe is another small school sleeper to keep an eye on.
