This was briefly mentioned in the blog post for today's TC practice, however since I was sitting above the player's tunnel, I was able to see both Kevin Burnett and Terry Glenn leave the field.

Kevin left first with the help of two trainers, one under each arm to help support his weight. He was clearly favoring one leg. He did not return.

Terry left under his own power, without the help of a trainer, and he did not have a noticeable limp that I could see. I didn't see him return to practice either.

One note from after practice: Sam Hurd returned to the field and was fielding balls from a Jugs football machine. A young kid was aiming and firing while Sam turned and reacted from about 15 feet away. After he finished, Sam made a slow circuit back around the field, giving autographs and having his picture taken with fans. The lights were being dimmed in the stadium when he finally left the field. This guy is a class act.

wonder what the deal with burnett is. hopefully nothing serious.

God, not again. Some guys are just destined to never get it together.

Burnett strikes me funny. The guy is always hurt and then when he is healthy he is crying about not being appreciated.

Ummm...how about staying healthy long enough for folks to get something to appreciate.

Just a suggestion.

I wish they would just release the guy already.

Good thing you suggested he stay healthy, I'm sure it had never occurred to him before...

Well, this says Kevin's head was injured... but the original poster said Burnett left "clearly favoring" on leg.

So, which is it?

If he had a concussion, it would make sense that two guys were helping him off the field.

Phillips said Burnett got dinged and then mentioned a concussion so they took him out just to have him checked over. Given how concerned the NFL is about this issue, I think Burnett probably will be held out 2-3 days just to be sure he's okay.

On the official website, Glenn was quoted as saying that something "popped" in his knee.

I've never had a knee injury, so I don't know if that's a bad sign or not. We need him healthy.

oh yeah - he's been a BEAST since he's been here.

I see what you are talking about.

Hard to imagine there is such a thing as a "good" pop.

Wow. I'm glad some of you Burnett haters didn't cut Gurode when he was playing behind Al Johnson.

When asked about Burnett's transition to ILB and his performance in the nickle, Phillips said this: " Pretty good untll he got knocked out today. Burnett is doing a good job. He can run, too. Burnett and (Carpenter) can run with almost anybody when we decide to cover man to man. We can rush them from inside or scrape them to the outside. I think Burnett is doing well."

Burnett's hustle paid off against the Colts last year. Was that him flying down the left sideline for a 38 yard touchdown? I bet you "Burnett haters" were happy after that game.

Before you tell me that is the only thing he has done, let's just see how the new scheme suits him before some of you decide to whack him off the roster.
