Long shot to make team but Tim Benford has had nice couple of days. Slow start due to knee surgery in offseason.

WR Tim Benford, a practice squad guy last year, is tearing it up in 2-on-2s. Has a few catches, including two against Brandon Carr.
Brandon Carr is struggling against bunch formations. Not able to do what he does best: Get his hands on receivers.
Dat Nguyen, who is calling out plays based on just seeing formations, says Sean Lee has much better football IQ than him. High praise.
DT Nick Hayden is getting first-team reps over Sean Lissemore.

Getting a little bit dark. But Ernie Sims, JJ Wilcox finding people to hit. Sims visible today.
Orton offense can't score in its two-minute. No running room. Orton misses Andre Smith on third-down out.
Stephens offense can't score either. Guards pushed around. Pressure from Scheffield at left end. Benton misses again.
Nothing for the Tanney offense. Wilber ripped it up.
Practice over. Romo offense productive in two-minute. Moved the ball in chunks. Only hiccup was play clock at goal line. Scored next play.

Dan Bailey has nothing to worry about in his job. Benton has been awful. Last one wasn't even close.
Wilber beats Weems off the edge to gain a sack and end the practice as darkness sets in.

How do you hit a kid in the face with a pass, and then the team doesn't even let him keep the ball? Are they using gold plated balls at Cowboys practice now?

I've read multiple reports saying that they gave the ball back to the kid. Todd Archer "Romo throw away that lands in crowd. A dad caught ball as held son but son got hurt. Dez Bryant gave boy elbow sleeve, team gave ball"

I was literally right next to the kid who got hit in the face. Romo throws ball away, dad is holding son and ball hits kid in the face. They initially wouldn't give him a ball and we started all booing, then Dez ran over and gave him his elbow sleeve.

To change the subject for a second...it sounds like Romo has really worked on the back shoulder throws that so many have called for.

Love the back shoulder fade. The Giants did it well a few years ago but seemed to stop doing it. When done properly, it's unstoppable.
