What is VERY frustrating is having this start with ZERO contribution from the TE position and very little skill at WR....is there anything that can be done to improve the WR position in the next few weeks? Do we ever plan to incorporate our TE's in any game plan? Are trades still allowed? Given the play of the Defense, the lack of FA acquisitions at WR could make this season the most frustrating and wasted one ever!!!

you mean letting go of a top 10 WR for a fifth round pick and then not using the money saved was a BAD move!?!? What!?! I’ve read tons of posts about how much better we are for ditching Amari and saving Jerry’s money.

We got the one Steeler who got hurt (isn't he coming back soon?) and we resigned Brown, Gallup, and Schulz. We did a lot. We just had a lot of contracts ending.

I would have kept Cooper over new contracts for Gallup and Schulz. Loved the Brown signing.

Dak was more comfortable with Ced than any other WR....ZERO reason not to keep him around.

Schultz didn’t get a contract but I get your point
Gallup is much cheaper and Washington should be back soon
When you only throw 16 passes you aren’t gonna get everyone involved
Tolbert has been a disappointment and I think they expected much more from him
Brown has been really a surprise and what I love about him is he did it himself, nothing was handed to him like a high pick gets. He contributed on ST till he got his shot and he’s taken advantage of his opportunities. Got to respect a guy like brown

You must not be watching Ferguson and Hendershot have been studs in the running game. Absolute blessing to finally have TE’s that can block. Teams are doubling Schultz.

Ced also isn’t playing for Miami much. I wonder why they signed him to that big contract. I’d say he’d be nice to have back but the guys we have are doing really well.

Gallup isn't much cheaper. 23mil gtd the next two years. Averaging slightly more than Schulz's 11mil gtd per year. I think Cooper was just due 20. Would rather have him.

Tolbert isn't disappointing me. Didn't expect much more from him. Looks like a competent punt returner. They don't really run that jet sweep gimmick game anymore, and if they did, I'd rather they use Pollard while we have him.

Brown is Miles Austin w/o the speed and tender hammies, Dwayne Harris with actual competence as a WR. Delivered on special teams until he could deliver on offense. Many snickered when we resigned him, but I loved it. He's worth more than his contract on ST alone. Special teams guys who *also* contribute on either side of the ball rarely get the respect they deserve. He *already* had a role as a blocker on offense, and looked like a legitimate 4th to me last year, but now he's a legitimate 3rd WR on receiving alone. Would be interesting to see if he can play some lead blocker at FB like the Rams WR who did it today.

Brown is just a football player. I used to give him grief as a "teeny tiny blocking TE", but a competent WR who can block like that is gold. He's probably more valuable than Gallup on 1st and 2nd down when run/pass are both options.

Two "catching" positions. Coop isn't that good, man.

- WRs ? We have back our two starters in Gallup to join Lamb, and they are clearly highly invested to be the front runners.
We’re not trading for or going FA vet to have anyone in front of them.
* Let's see the WR level once and happening once Dak returns to the starting lineup.

However I would have liked to have more quality depth at WR, than what we currently have now.

. I would have liked Jalen Tolbert to be a Cedrick Wilson, but with Tolbert being inactive, I’m having that vibe that the coaches
do not like his currently game, that does not have anything to do with being a rookie, and hes not a special teamer, to have him game active,
Unfortunately I think he’s more next years project.

- I frankly don’t expect much from vet James Washington this year.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if they just decide to IR him, but maybe they worry about eventual injury.to Lamb/Gally
Otherwise should we Re-start JW next year ?

- it’s a reason why Simi is not game planned into the offense. he's a minimal special teams guy and a pure project at this point.
If it stays like this seasons end. I severely want his roster spot challenged (and taken) next summer

- I really like Noah Brown more as a 4th type WR, and he wasn’t as big vs Rams as he was in the previous wins, but I doubt we would
have had the wins If not his past contribution during this win streak, imo.

- Yet, should anything happen to the starting two WRs- we’re gonna be in deep mud, because the lack of quality depth
I think we’ll go practice squad guy come up (Dennis Houston, Brandon Smith),
rather than us savoring the street FA or a stand out trade for an established vet.

With the TEs ?

- With the lack of TE in pass game, maybe far more focus was placed on a 2 TE set to provide more run blocking-.... if so, it worked ! .

- Schultz has had years to develop and get comfortable with the offense, and QB rapport, while these rookie TEs have just gotten here.
Let’s give them time to develop, ..let them gain a rapport with the starting QB Dak Prescott .. and hopefully we have the OC that can design/scheme them.

23 over two years is much cheaper than 20 per years and Schultz is a one year deal
Brown has really impressed me and I love his story
The guy isn’t a super talent but he does everything ask of him to help the team
I like ST guys. It’s a thankless job other than the return guy but he is a really solid ST play. As a reciever he just makes plays. No great speed or freakish athlete but just gets the most out of what he has

It’s tough to put big money into the te and we position. Similar to rb.

it think you will have to let Schultz walk in off-season. And maybe ceedee when his contract expires.
