He had 2 really good years in his career. The rest of the time he was mediocre. Probably doesn't hurt the Giants too much as he wasn't good last season, his only year in New York. The cap hit isn't too bad. Now they scramble to get their young tight ends ready. It hurts a little, but would have been worse had he chosen to retire during training camp or during the season.he was never a good fit in NYC. Giants never had a plan for him, and he couldn't stay healthy either. Make no mistake, this hurts the team.
