Don't be surprised if the Cowboys draft a TE in the 2nd round.

They would have signed Schultz to a new contract if they wanted to keep him long term.

I like Otton in the 3rd or Woods if he is available at #88.

I wait all year for us to draft Tyler Smith and then Cade Otton [These aren't terrible picks by any means just not who I want]

I have already pencilled in

1st - Tyler Smith, OT
2nd - Sam Williams, DE
3rd- Jeremy Ruckert, TE

I don’t think Schultz is going to be a long term player for the Cowboys. I could see him being traded sometime during this draft.

Schultz may sense that too, because I think he signed his tender fairly quickly.

56 might be a tad early, definitely at 88 though.

I dont know if they guys they have been looking at will go that high expect may Ruckert

I would take Woods at 56 and not blink an eye.
He's the best all round TE in this draft.

It's possible. But if it were me in this situation, I'd wait until next year to draft a TE.

Woods has the best "upside" but I also think he could have the highest bust potential.

I don't think they will target these two but I do like McBride and Dulcich if they decide to take one in the second.

I think McBride's a second round level talent. Wouldn't mind picking him there at all.

I had multiple mocks with Trey McBride in the 2nd. Just kind of seems like a Dallas thing to do.

I see TE as equally important as WR and something that would achieve a similar result (adding an offensive target). The issue is I don't really see a 2nd round TE so we'd be reaching a little. Woods would be my guess and I feel more comfortable at 88 but it's only a small reach and IMO less of one than Tristin Hill was. I also like Woods more than many of the WR's assuming the top 8 getting wiped out.
