Who can we sign or trade for. Ferguson ain’t it. Maybe good #2 but I don’t need see him starting.

I disagree about weakness, even if talking about the offensive side.

I would put Left Tackle still as a bigger weakness/unknown.

Ferguson/Schoon are service-able tight ends at worse. Can get by with either. IMO Ferguson wasn't the same last year after the left knee injury and then of course he missed a few games due to a concussion.

Good luck finding a starting caliber TE better than Ferg on the trade block right now. Teams wont be floating any feelers for a McBride or Kittle this time of year unless its a contract issue which is the last thing Dallas needs to take on.

Honestly TE is probably about 5th down the needs list right now. OL, DT, RB,DB are probably the areas that need addressed if the Cowboys still plan on using resources to upgrade the 2025 roster.

TE is not a strength, but I don't think it's a weakness either. It depends on how Ferguson plays. He wasn't very good last year after he had his bell rung.

This year they have to give Schoonmaker more opportunities. I don't think they re-sign Fergusons next year so they need to have a backup plan. Schoonmaker was a 2nd round pick so he is the obvious choice but until they get him involved there is no way of knowing what he can do when the chips are down.
