Who thought Tony Curtis at TE looked pretty good for us today? Any way he can unseat Hannam and become our 3rd TE this year.

Hannam didnt look good today. Who knows what we have with Curtis possibly the second coming of Antonio Gates? Lol I know that sounds crazy but he looked really good out there. Last season he sat on the practice roster all year long I believe.

didn't curtis miss an easy pass that bounced off him and got intercepted? that sort of stuff drives BP nuts. that being said, i think he makes the team over Ryan but Hannam is still the 3rd TE due to his blocking.

Actually, I think the interception was on a missed reception by Hannam. The announcers initially said Curtis but then changed it. But Curtis did have an easy drop also.

Right, but Curtis missed another pass that should have been a first down.

Parcells has mentioned Curtis several times in his PC's recently. He said that he came from totally clueless to looking pretty good...

Hannam was brought in to be a blocking TE, so I wouldn't put a WHOLE lot of stock into his receptions...

That being said, I think there is no way Curtis is cut, Parcells likes him...

If he doesn't cut Curtis, he'll have to cut somebody else he likes. Polite, Hoyte, Hurd, Elam

I didn't mean Curtis makes the active roster... I think he goes to PS...

Next year he can make some waves if he continues to improve...

Curtis looked horrible tonight. I was at the game. He missed an easy pass and I think it was him the ball bounced off for the int. I don't think he makes the team. He was never in the game again after those two series ( I don't think)

He has two costly drops tonight... no doubt, but he also had a couple of good plays...

I think he will probably make PS...

It was him that dropped for the INT. He did have a drop before that, though. He was also in the game after the drop and made another cathc.

Was Curtis the guy we picked up last year that used to play linebacker? If so, he really has come a long way and definitely should make the PS.

Curtis didnt do well tonight IMO...he dropped two easy ones and while I know the write up on the game says Hannam caused the Romo int I am 99% sure it was Curtis

Hannam had 2 more catches tonight by the way

Number 86 is Ryan Hannam and it was he who caused the INT by popping the ball up in the air. Hannam also had another dropped pas that would have been a 1st down.

Curtis (who wears #89) had only one dropped pass that I saw. It came on the first drive when the ball was a little high and slightly behind him but still very catchable. He was wide open and he should have made the catch. However, other than that he had a solid game and had at least two other catches; one of which was a really nice catch.

Curtis dropped both those balls incl the one that was picked

I went back and watched the game again just to be sure before responding to this. Curtis (#89) dropped a pass a couple of plays before the INT. It was an almost identical play and an identical pass to the one he dropped in the first series of the game from Bledsoe. But the pass that went off the receivers hands and was intercepted came off the hands of Hannam (#86). I wound it back and watched several times and it WAS NOT Curtis who dropped that pass.

BTW Curtis had made a very nice catch on the play after the fumble for the 28 yard reception for the 1st down to get them down into that end of the field. I don’t know if his good play was enough to offset his drops but he was not the only one dropping passes. I'm not necessarily climbing on his bandwagon but I do think he looked pretty good in the game.
