We are a month away. They could have a reliable instant test by then.. that would allow them to open up at least 50%... just saying.. Never say never.

That is the way I see it, wear masks, take temperatures before they walk in.

Winstar Casino takes temperatures and requires masks.
I have not heard or seen any outbreaks from it yet from patrons that have gone.
How can we know. It’s not like they stay in Thackerville. They go back to where they came from.

Maybe so, but it is still an indicator, even if someone just has the flu, keep them away.
And it is a feel good gesture that people like.

If you were going somewhere, say a grocery store, and they are equal stores, would you go to one that checks temperatures or one that does not. Yes there will be ones that do not want to hassle with it.

Do the checks regardless.
“ a feel good gesture “ is nothing more than false sense of security.

I saw let’s open it all up and let it come crashing down. Maybe worse case scenarios is only way to get everyone’s attention. Amazing how selfish and ignorant this nation has become.

Right now, it's really unknown because we're seeing spikes in daily deaths and FL, home to 3 teams, has set records for 3 days in a row. CA, with 3 teams will not allow anything more than 25%, if that, and NYC has already said no fans for those 2 teams.

I don't think some are considering the impact of after the game and the number of people those fans come into contact with and therein lies the real problem. Have an outbreak that starts to shut the city down again and cost more jobs that can be traced back to a football game and this is not going to go well for sports and the NFL in particular since they own the greed award.

Add to this that just today, they predicted the Midwest is the next wave of this based on their model and that looks to be peaking about the time the season is supposed to start.

Here's the problem, jobs and the economy, not attending sports. We must protect that first and foremost as this country just had it's worst quarterly GDP in history, let that sink in, history. Think we can stand much more of that? And getting kids back in school is critical to the economy as well.

We cannot risk setting the economy back anymore or any more 1M+ unemployment claims a week for 18 straight weeks. Let's get as many back to work and back in school as possible before we start thinking about non-critical parts like attending football games.

The New Normal is life as we knew it is on hold and we need to grasp that and work with it. If we do not take the preemptive temporary steps then we risk some very permanent problems for many of our fellow citizens.

We have already proven we were not up to the task of handling this. What makes anyone think they are now. Putting people in crowds is one of the worst all time ideas.
We are the stupidest country in the world on this. Why stop now. We deserve worse case scenario. And it’s coming if we don’t slow down.

Your after the game theory does not fly.
Places are already restricted, bars are closed. Where are these people going got go after the game. To infect anyone or get infected. All places are required to wear masks.
You are making it like the people going to games are all infected and will congregate to infect others.
That does not make any sense as I said, where will they go. Most will go home just as they used to do.

It has nothing to do with your economic stuff
Most restaurants at 50% have become bars.

yes the main problem and concern is the overall economy and health. Millions more of people go other places on Monday, and throughout the week, like work. Stores. The small amount of people going to games on a Sunday has no more impact to where they go on Monday. More so than anybody else, such as grocery store workers, schools, if they open back up, or people going to eat.

you are making it out to be the ones going to games are the issue. They are not.

as I stated there are millions And millions more going out to do other Other things compared to a football game. may as well make it a law to keep every one inside according to your theory’s.
It’s very difficult to social distance in the arena or stadium atmospheres. They are basically a breeding for the spread. That doesn’t mean everyone needs to stay home. But attending these type of events in a hot spot isn’t very health conscience.

Amazing how most of the civilized world gets it but some Americans. Wonder why??

Yes but most of the country isn’t now. And it’s headed back your way as a result.
