Fellas, this is not a bait thread to get the happy fans or chicken littles all stirred up, I am not into that.

Regardless of how optimistic or pessimistic a fan you are, I think we can all agree that this season is going to be a very interesting and entertaining one considering we are at a crossroad.

Most of the media (and most of the fans) agree that this season has to be a playoff year or Garrett is gone. The last head coach of this team to miss the playoff 3 straight seasons was Dave Campo and he never made it to year 4. Garrett will have been the head coach for 3.5 seasons after this year and if he has not even sniffed the playoffs in 3.5 seasons, no way he will see year 4.

If Garrett goes, this probably means a full on rebuild and a purge of overpriced vets (see Jets for example) and starting over with a clean slate. Some may see this as a step in the right direction, some may see this as a step back. Some very familar names maybe wearing different uniforms if this season does not go well, I will leave it to yall to speculate on who.

Regardless of how you look at the stituation, this season maybe one of the most important seasons this franchise has had in many years considering what is at stake. That alone should have everybody excited for the new season.

I still say we will be competitive until Romo either leaves or gets killed by poor OL play.

So far, we have not improved the team, but the draft will help us out.

IF we can stay healthy, we will be in the hunt.

This doesn't seem quite right to say...while we haven't been in the playoffs, for the past two seasons we have been in position to clinch the division with a win. While we choked both times, we have gotten close enough to "sniff" the playoffs.

"Sunshine my only Sunshine"....
Another year older & deeper in debt...
Keep dreamin' Sunny...:lmao:

I thnk this will be a last place team in 2013 and we will be starting over yet again.

Injuries and OL are key. If those are somewhat improved, we win 9 maybe 10 games.

I like the defensive change, so I think we improved on that side of the ball. Better coaching equals better success.

They have to hit on the draft big time. But I can see them trading up to grab Vacarro, which he is a good player, but we can't afford to give up picks.

We need Jonathan Cooper.

There is at least 1 person behind Garrett who wants his job, I don't see it all coming together. Garrett will be gone by game 8. It's a process. If it starts really bad Jerry could reap some picks before the trade deadline.
