Team Chemistry: Like What You're Smellin'?

Up to now and throughout the entire off season I thought the teams chemistry is almost perfect. All the players seem genuinely complimentary of each other ,the coaching staff and front office, they all seem to share a commitment to getting better and focus on the job at hand whether it be practice or the game. All parts seem to be working in harmony, not just this game, but like I said even from the beginning of the off season. I like the fact that I hear so many of them talk about what their role is rather than what else they think they could or should be doing. For now everyone seems to be comfortable with their role, which is very important.

We have to see how the team reacts when they have a little adversity, as they say, team chemistry is never a problem when you win. I think this team will be fine if they encounter any issues this season because they've already been to that circus and got the T-shirt.

I think this team is set up for a good season.

"Adversity" left town...he's in Buffalo.

I'm loving it. The only conflict that I can see is at the starting CB position opposite Newman but I think that will work itself out as the better CB emerges by week 5.

I've been preaching this all through TC. This team is together and focused, they're a close nit bunch. This is so important and a huge difference from last year. This team has always had talent but wasn't close, that isn't the case anymore and it's obvious...

I agree. I think you find out more about players and teams when you hit the bump in the road than you do when everything is going great. In 16 weeks most teams are going to hit a rough spot I expect we will as well and how the team responds after a tough loss will show a lot about team chemistry

Romo is the perfect catalyst because of how he allows all the players to get involved in the game by getting them the ball. But yeah, I'm really liking the chemistry we have on offense from all players. The defense still has some gelling to do, but it'll come. Right now, I think the offense will carry this team until the defense finally comes around and I believe they will.

Personally, I loved it when 11 players took the field on offense.

And then, they repeated it on defense.

Thought it was good stuff.

Yay chemistry.

I heard that when the Bucs where running wild up the middle that Keith Brookings got in some faces on the sideline about people not playing their gaps and holding their responsibilities. I think that says something about the team when a guy that's new to the team can call people to task about what's going on on the field rather than being looked at sideways. I don't think it was Zack's style to do this type of thing, but I am glad that Brookings has the leadership to keep it real.

I really think Brooking is going to be a key player for us in many aspects of the game and I do believe he adds something more to the chemistry of the defense than Zack Thomas did. Having said that, I also think guys like Sensabaugh give the team a lift when he blocks that field goal, even being it was a special teams play. When you do something like that, you really lift the defense up by giving them a break and allowing them to start fresh. That was a great play by Sensabaugh and I expect to see more like that in the future.

We just won 34-21. After we crushed the Browns last year in week 1 no one was mentioning chemistry. No one mentioned it in 07 either. It only becomes a problem when you lose.

You dont find out about your team after nice wins. You find about about character, morale, and chemistry after losses.

I said from day one when TO got here that things would be fine as long as we won. When we didnt win and he didnt get his, things went sour.

If we have another stretch like we did last year, then we can talk about chemistry.

Good post.

Chemistry wasn't an issue with this team when we were 13-3.

It became an issue last year when we were losing.
