WR-Pickens is in the same boat as Williams, team wants him back. Tag or extension?
T-this is dependent upon if they keep Steele or not. Huge need if he departs.

Linebacker-2 at minimum. Wilson is 50/50 to come back, Overshown health remains a concern.
CB-2. Currently have no slot corner and our depth at the position is awfully thin.
S-1-2. This depends upon if they decide to keep Hooker, Wilson is expected to depart as a fa.

I think we need more then just 1 addition at both Edge and Linebacker, even if we add a high pick to those positional groups. Edge is just Ez, Houston and Land under contract, linebacker has injury prone Overshown and 2 developing prospects in Marist & James. Think Logan Wilson gets released.

I just don’t see how it’s possible to keep Pickens and Williams. Then add that many quality players in FA. I think we have to sign a starter quality couple of guys at the positions you don’t think you can get in draft. But I don’t see how you could sign more than a couple of quality, starters

we can certainly improve on what we have at no great cost
competent starters would not be that expensive and still be a lot better then what we have now in our back seven

they have the ability to create over 100 million of cap space. Think most of the signings will be more cost effective but not minimum

I'd completely blow out the S and LB rooms save for Overshown.

I don’t see how you get a vet starting LB for 3 mil. We have to sign a couple of quality FA. The key is filling the holes you can’t in draft. Picking the right guys. I’d love one at each level of defense but just don’t see how that’s possible if we keep Williams and Pickens.

you fill holes in FA and take the best available talent in the draft
that is what CHAMPIONSHIP teams do
and you could find several examples last year of good starting LBs making three million a year
just for other teams; we spend money on those like Murray

What starting LB not on a rookie contract made 3 mil that’s availible. I’d love to sign a safety, LB, CB before the draft. I just don’t see how you sign starting quality players at all 3 of those.
