Team needs rest... 4 games in 21 day span... and Thanksgiving game thoughts

I think the team just needs some rest. I think Wade should give the team (or at least certain key players) Mon, Tues, and Wed off. Practice Thurs and Fri. And Wade should use Ware, Ellis, Newman, Henry, TO, Witten a little less during the Philly game. Maybe give each player a quarter off.

Moss and the NE players came right out and said they were tired and Bellicek gave the team a day off before the Pgh game.

That Thanksgiving game really messes the Cowboys up, imo. They get an advantage playing at home on a short week, BUT it really starts to take its toll on the team in December. And that Thaksgiving game is a big disadvantage for the Cowboys for the next 3-4 weeks. It just tires the team out during the stretch run.

Personally, I would rather see other teams play on Thanksgiving. I can't even enjoy the game because too many people around. I want to enjoy the company of my relatives and eat turkey in peace. I hope the NFL rotates the Thanksgiving game starting next year. This isn't the 1960s-1990s anymore, I can watch the Cowboys every week on tv even without the Turkey game.

Dallas usually has a ten-day break after the Thanksgiving game. This year, they had the ten-day break a week late, but that usually helps the team during the stretch run. At least other teams/owners see it as an advantage.

Dallas had three days off after the Green Bay game. Not just light practice, but days off. They are also one of the youngest teams in the league.

Wade gave them Friday, Sat. and Sunday off. That should be plenty of time for rest. We simply weren't prepared for the Lions to run the ball on us. No excuses.

There is plenty of off time when the season is over. I would love to see Dallas limit starters once we get everything clinched and give guys nursing injuries some down time but until then these guys have a job to do.

Sorry, I just can't enjoy the game on Thanksgiving. I missed the first half traveling to my cousin's house. Too much talking and eating and people around. And the key: The December swoon is directly linked to the Thanksgiving game and tiring the team out come December.

Haha no it is not we have won plenty of Super Bowls and having 10 gays in between the last 2 games is extra time for the short week before hand

Um, they usually play 4 games in 22 days. When you consider the 10 days they had off since their last game, I dont think lack of rest is the problem. Infact, it may have been too much time off.

I just believe this is the NFL and you cannot expect to dominate every week or just show up to play.

I dont think they are tired...we rotate alot of people and they were coming off an extra long week having played last Thursday

they were flat and the coaching staff and players went through the motions as if they expected the Lions to simply lay down and die...it was a poor job by the team and the coaching staff yesterday, and we are fortunate we came away with the W

they better pick it up this week, else we wont be as lucky vs Philly
