He's only 22, definitely worth keeping around on the final roster. Develop him as Flournoy's replacement long-term since he's 5 years younger and Flournoy will be a FA in 2027
Trigg is a major talent but a knucklehead.I agree with that, Trigg is both a pass catching tight end and a slot wide receiver in the same body. This is easy to see for some of us, this guy is a problem for defenses , he is what you call a terror for defensive backs when it comes to covering him and tackling him down field. Dallas has a scary receiving core when you add in Brown and Trigg , this offense could be even better than last year.
Brown's game is akin to Noah Brown's with both better athleticism, better contested catch ability, and better hands.Brooks does have a similar game but to me looks like the lankier receiver. Brown is built a little bit more like I'd want him to be with that kind of skillset. Brooks may be a tad bit faster though. But Brown does have burst. And he's physical and goes and grabs contested catches. If he becomes 3 or 4 it would take a little pressure off just having Flournoy as that third receiver. And if Flournoy is a legitimate 3 this year, it would make me feel much better about the depth if this guy steps in and steps up as that fourth receiver.
I mean, it is what it is. We can just pretend Brown is the 4th round pick we gave up for Mingo. We got him for nothing and he is already CLEARLY better than Mingo. No way he'd make the practice squad if released. Someone would grab him after that game.I think he did make the team. And that 4th round pick for Mingo we can flush down the toilet.
