Team should be 5-2

I'd actually say that the Saints and Packers games were both games we had a higher likelihood of winning than the Jets game was. Both of the first two losses stemmed from not taking care of the football. The Jets loss was related to our personnel more than it was to specific mistakes taking care of the football.
Either one of kicking the field goal at the 5 or the refs not taking away the td to Witten on the bs pic call would have won that game!

The two losses to the Pack and Saints were legit losses. Injuries, combined with quality teams and due for a stinker game had to show up some time.

The Jets loss was the one that should have NEVER happened. At 4-3 I feel we underperformed by 1 game as to where we should be.

5-2 right now and this team would be right where they should have been.

You are what your record says you are.........................coulda, shoulda, woulda is what people say to make themselves feel better.

We are 4-3, period................end of discussion.

Like everyone else....shoulda woulda coulda....

I won't make excuses for our record, and while all losses go into the same column, there are certainly losses that look different from one another.

Packers: I disagree with anyone that says we were blown out. We gave up so many points early that a comeback win was virtually impossible. With that said, we were a missed FG away from having an opportunity to tie the game in the 4th quarter. Our team didn't quit. That 'no quit' wasn't worth a W, but it isn't nothing.

Jets: See above. Just can't give ANY NFL team a huge lead and expect to overcome it (unless your NE and playing the Falcons). Still, we were a 2 point play away from tying the game.

Saints: I mean, we lost by 2 on the road to a good team. It happens.

We need better depth for our OL, otherwise, the absence of Tyron and La'el would have been nearly as limiting. It's virtually impossible to produce an effective passing attack when the opposition's pass rush is a constant source of pressure. If that's not enough, the play calling reverted back to the days of Linehan. An entirely uninspired team, on both sides of the ball, laid an egg in that particular contest. Of course, having Cooper out didn't help, either.

At this point, the record of our team is meaningless. Given home field advantage is off the table, statistically doubtful at least, the only thing this team has to do is win the division. If we win the division at 9-7 or 13-3, it really doesn't matter because we made the playoffs and will get a home game. The Saints and Packers loss makes the 1st or 2nd seed highly doubtful given we lose the tiebreaker, and unless those teams and the 49ers have a complete meltdown, I don't see us doing better than 3rd or 4th seed. I do expect the 49ers to have a meltdown though

We could have had the Saints without turnovers.
We had the ball, down by 2, with 2 timeouts and a 1:22 on the clock vs. the Saints. If Tyron didn't get his ankle rolled (which cost us our all-pro left tackle and a 10 second run off) we would've beat the Saints.

Could have had the Fish, too. Winnable games. The Pack has our number.

I don’t know. The wins were there in all 3 losses.

Well the Saints game came down to a few points and was also a low scoring game. Dallas woke up after the fact during the Packers game. We lost to the Jets. 6-1!

I actually think they played better against the Saints and Packers than they did against the Jets. But let me explain. They made mistakes that got them beat in NO and against the Packers. The penalties against the Packers, 124 yds worth, mostly came while the Packers were building up a huge lead in the first half. The Cowboys had over 100 yards in penalties before the Packers had 40. And a lot of those penalties either killed Cowboys drives or helped the Packers continue drives of their own. But against the Saints and Packers, at least the Cowboys almost held their own at the LOS.

Against the Jets, the Cowboys just got beat up. Dak was getting pummeled every time he dropped back. The OL was just horrible that day. The DL wasn't much better considering it was the Jets. And, they were outcoached by a team that had not won a game.

Should the Cowboys have taken care of business against the Jets, even with the injuries? Yes. But they didn't. They got pushed around and deserved to lose.

If you are saying that Dallas should lose to Green Bay when Dallas is at home than why have you been saying that Dallas is going to the SB? If we cannot beat Green Bay in Dallas than how are we going to beat them in Lambeau?

I think we let the saints game get away....we had opportunities and we didn't cash in....the jets game was a total meltdown on the defense.....the offense was missing 4 starters......the defense had no excuse giving up that many points and passing yards to Mono-boy
