Officials from the Broncos, Texans and Bills have contacted Memphis redshirt junior Paxton Lynch's former high school coach to learn more about the QB.

"The scouts that call me want to know about his character and what type of kid he was," Allen Johnson said. "They’re doing their due diligence." The high school coach was not certain that Lynch would head to the NFL after this season. In fact, he stated on multiple occasions how Lynch is committed to getting Memphis to the CollegeFootball Playoff. We won't go as far to say it is pointless to speculate on Lynch's decision, but it likely won't be revealed until January. Nov 5 - 10:58 AM

I have to admire the way John Elway thinks big, knowing that Manning is on his last legs, and that he has a pretty good team in place.

I can see Elway trading for Stafford.
I think it might be tough for them to afford him, both from a contract and picks/personnel standpoint, but it would make a lot of sense for a competitive team.

There are a few teams who should be interested in Stafford though...Houston, Buffalo, Washington, Cleveland, heck maybe even Philly.

Broncos would have two 6'7 QB's on their roster if they traded up for Lynch. That'd have to be a first, right?

I think when it's all said and done, Lynch will be a Cleveland Brown. I think that he'll be the first QB taken, and I think the Browns will have a Top 3 pick, so it just makes sense.

The Texans and Niners won't be far behind, and I think Cook, Goff, and/or Hackenberg will be one of their picks.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I really think dallas will sign manziel in the offseason.

I can't wait for that.

Not because I am so sold on Manziel, far from it.

But there are enough people around here that would peel their own face off at the mere thought, that it would be exceptionally cool for the entertainment value alone.

We can't "sign him" because he's not a Free Agent. He still has 2 years left on his current contract with Cleveland. It would cost us a draft pick (or two) to acquire him, and I would absolutely HATE it if Jerry traded a valuable draft pick(s) for Johnny Clipboard..
