Teams aren't made to stop Cowboys running game

Given the Cowboys heavy run game, most NFL teams will struggle stopping it due their defenses are made to stop the pass rather than the run.
NFL rules have made the game more pass happy and that's the main focus of most teams.
Most defenses are built similar to the Cowboys defense which doesn't have any BIG bodies to clog the middle. They are built for speed to combat pass centric offenses.
This bodes well for the Cowboys offense since they seem to have the ability to run the ball and have one of the best passing attacks in the league.

That is a major reason the Titans and Ravens give people so much trouble.

But this is a discernable thing when reviewing the video and then teams can adapt. I don't buy your premise that defences designed to stop the pass can't in a week of practice adapt to stop the Cowboys run game. If they don't adapt it's their own fault because what we do is on tape.

Tampa Bay didn't have much trouble. They are in our way in the also if we want a Super Bowl run.
First game of the year... We didn't even really try and run the ball... I would argue we were trying to get the win the only way the coaching thought we could at that moment.

Martin did not play that game.

The addition of one offensive lineman even one as stellar as Martin isn't going to change the fact that TB is built to stop the run. The pass game is where they are weak and to beat them you need to keep Brady's rear on the bench. That being said, we lost that game kicking FG's or rather missing FG's.

That's a big deal.

Either way, it's pretty stunning to look at how hard it is for teams to run on the Bucs.
Super Bowl Ravens like numbers....45.8 yards per game.
:omg:

fwiw, I think both Dallas and Tampa are better now than they were in week 1.

And that’s why I think Cleveland and us are going to go far in the playoffs.

Guys like Martin and Larry Allen can make a huge difference, esp combined with someone like Tyron Smith.

On average, they do not spend the majority of their practice time against the run and what teams tackle at practice?

And since most are pass leaning, how good is their run game to practice against?

The problem the Cowboys present is that they're a good passing team as well so it's pick your poison.
