I went back to 1978, when the NFL went to 16 games to find out which teams started off 0-2 and made the playoffs. Here's what I found:

2008 Miami Dolphins

2008 Minnesota Vikings

2008 San Diego Chargers

2007 New York Giants

2006 Kansas City Chiefs

2002 Atlanta Falcons

2001 New England Cheatriots

1998 Arizona Cardinals

1998 Buffalo Bills (coached by Wade Phillips and actually went 0-3)

1996 New England Patriots

1995 Detroit Lions

1994 New England Patriots

1993 Pittsburgh Steelers

1993 Dallas Cowboys

1992 San Diego Chargers (actually 0-3)

1990 Philadelphia Eagles

1987 Indianapolis Colts (strike year)

1984 Washington Commanders

1981 New York Jets (actually 0-3)

1980 Los Angeles Rams

1980 Cleveland Browns

1978 Philadelphia Eagles

Oh, and this is just a side note, but the 2002 New York Jets started off 2-5. Can you imagine? I don't, but I'm just saying.

well we do have the luxery of playing in an average division. None of the teams look very good so it should be a dogfight until the end

I think we can make it to the playoffs especially in the division we play in, but 0-3 would be asking too much. We play too many tough teams this year.

I think this has already come up on the board today. Anticipation? LOL

If we make the playoffs though, how much of a chance do u think we have of winning in green bay or new orleans? Not very good and i'm sure we'd have to play at least one of them

Well then at least we get a bye week after that so we can get the "Teams That Went 0-4 And Made The Playoff's" in and discuss it for 2 whole weeks.

Answer in one, the 1992 San Diego Chargers ( I see what's coming here)

The topic after that should be short considering no team has ever gone 0-5 and made the playoff's.

I knew I would see one of these pacification threads.

SO much for being positive or looking at the bigger picture on this forum.

i guess we're not going to win a game until we actually win one and it's n ot like this team has made playoff runs in the past so i guess they don't have it in them.

Yeah, and Josh Ellis already wrote the article. He reads the Zone!

Not even going to think about playoffs until we get over .500 and we don't know when that will happen or even IF it will happen!

Pretty sure the Oilers started 0-4 in 93 or so and ended up at 12-4 before losing to the Chiefs in the divisional round.

I don't know, but man, right now, it's all about getting to the tournament.

Of those teams, only four of them played in the Super Bowl. Three of them won it all.

No, they started 1-4 and then went on an 11-game winning streak.
