Teams to beat in the NFC

The Giants have a very good offense. Most of their problems are on defense.

Is this the same Saints offense that scores a whopping three points against a mediocre Colts defense?

The us, the Gints are learning a new D system-I think they'll be OK in the long run. And the Saints' matchup nightmares seem to be against Cover 2 Ds.

Tell ya what.........why don't you get back to me later in the year and we can discuss the Saints offense and how terrible they are............mmkay?

The Cowboys aren't a complete team, although I expect that to change.

The Rams offense is not the same without Pace, who will be out for the year.

In the grand scheme of things - the Rams were never in the picture anyways. Pace is a huge loss for them and fantasy owners of Bulger/Jackson/Holt who is already not at 100%..............

True, but owners of Larry Johnson are not likely to be too happy either. What's a fantasy GM to do? :p:

No argument here.

I was responding to BZ's "Rams have the offense to challenge."

Why was everyone so high on the Rams to being with? They have a good O? Big WHOOP! Not only they have the oldest D in the league, but they blow chunks on top of that.

who are they? Bears, Saints, Eagles, Seahawks and who else? I think we can beat any team in the NFC when Newman comes back. Two other teams in the NFC who are kinda underrated are the Packers and 49ers. Packers's offense is nothing special but their defense is solid. Same goes with the 49ers, while their offense looks like it can be explosive with Gore, Davis, and Djack, it didnt show it on MNF. However, their defense was amazing on Monday Night. That secondary is top 3 in the league and Patrick Willis is a monster. With being said, I expect the Cowboys to go deep in the playoffs this year.

why is people still on the saints:bang2: when the saint beat us everybody said or defense sucks now when there defense got destroy nobody talks bout there defense why there d is horrible

At this point there is no way on eartht hat we are a complete team. now if Reeves doesnt play marshmallow zones and newman comes back that may change but as of now its not good.

Hamlin remembering how to tackle could help.

Yep-I know it's only one game, but the Panthers are (easily)going to run the tables in that division. With a much better OC, and an improved secondary(Chris Harris has done just that for them), they'll be on the UPswing this year.

and or was only one game that one game mess up or whole defense for the rest of the year cuz be4 that we had a top 10 defense

Heh. Heh. My thoughts, exactly.
I'm just hoping we show on defense v. Miami so some of the overeacting on this board quiets down for a few weeks.

I don't think the Panthers are going to be running any tables. Harris and whoever else is playing safety will get lit up, maybe as soon as tomorrow by Schaab-Johnson. JEFF Davidson, not Jeremy, has brought them some nice confidence in the playbook, but not ready to say they are going to sweep the SAINTS just because they got beat AT Indy in week one.

I agree. The Panthers are waaay overrated. I catch their games just about every week because they are in my viewing area. Delhomme is an int waiting to happen..,their defense is good on paper but very suspect in actual games....if it wasn't for Steve Smith, the Panthers would be a very mediocre team. He saved them from soooo many losses in the past. Foster and Williams are a good RB duo, but Foster tends to dissapear at times and fumbles too much.

Agree, but that was what, after week 10,13, I can't remember, but not writing us off after week one at the defending SB CHAMPS. I just have a hard time believing that the Saints wont win that division.

I thinks the Lions will continue to improve and will be a team I rather not play late in the year.

Larry johnson, believe it or not, was a gamble for FF this year. Many had him as a top 4 pick. No way. KC has ZERO passing game and they are just concentrating (and will all year long) on LJ. His numbers will be nothing like lsat years IMO/FWIW.
