Which teams to root for to help out Dallas.
Of course Dallas controls their own destiny, but some help will be greatly appreciated.

Cowboys over Giants of course, and a win here, gives us any tie breakers with them.

Buccs over Bears, as to keep them down
Vikings over Packers
Titans over Eagles
Patriots over Lions
Cards over Seahawks, this normally would be a HFA type game, as a Cards loss would separate us by a game, but really 2 since we lost to the Cards. So looking at it from the WC possibilities
Commanders over 49ers ?, this is a tough one, rooting for the Commanders. I'm not sure I want to do that. But again, a WC scenario type deal. Though the Commanders losing and we win, basically takes them out of contention with us.
Ravens over the Saints, just to knock them down further.

Games that probably does not matter
Browns / Falcons, almost going for the Falcons here, as someone has to win that horrible division, and would rather play them, then meeting the Saints again.
Rams / Chargers

I keep telling people to watch what you wish for, i.e. the Lions losing. Do you really want the Packers winning that division? Of course, given that we are still in the running for HF, it seems to make sense to root for both to lose. But if the Packers win that division by a game and we have to go to Lambeau in January because of it--that's going to suck. We could still catch Arizona for HF throughout, so does it make sense to root for Seattle? Its kind of early to get into all these permutations.

Very good point!

If we get the #2 seed (AZ being #1) then we would not play in GB at all in the playoffs in any scenario....let the packers and lions both lose; but more important, just get the win today and then on Tday and the Cowboys will be looking at a playoff birth soon....

I think the biggest threat to the Cowboys going somewhere in the playoffs this year (assuming we make it) is having to play at Lambeau. We can beat the Lions in a dome.

agreed, and that is why a #2 seed behind AZ means that we would not play in GB this post season no matter what

I think going to Lambeau in January is not a problem. It has worked well for the last couple of teams who went there in the playoffs. We are build more for that than they are. In fact, I might prefer going to Lambeau than playing in Dallas.

Shouldnt we want the Saints and Bears to win since one of the tiebreakers is strength of schedule?

Maybe the Saints since we already beat them, but we don't want the Bears getting on a roll. Then again, not sure we want the Saints in the playoffs. Too many permutations.

Looks like we won't get any help today. We'll just have to take care of business ourselves.

Thank you. I want to go to Lambeau. Green Bay is a passing team. We have an elite O-line and a record breaking RB. We're equipped for -10 degree games in the snow. Gimme the Packers in Lambeau.
