Teams to root for today

The Cowboys chances of making the playoffs can improve from 63.3% to to 84% if the following teams win today:

Eagles
Buccaneers
Chiefs
Raiders

The biggest improvements will be seen with an Eagles and Bucs win.

In the other hand, (not surprisingly) our chance of winning the division goes up significantly with an Eagles loss.

Go Seahawks. Then we beat them next week to take a one game lead in the division with 2 to play.

So I guess it all depends on how much fans think we can beat Philly, in Philly next week. That determines who we want to win today.

it is a shame that both the eagles and seahawks cannot lose today. also I know it is very unlikely that the lions would lose. also hope that the chiefs could win in today. I think that the cardinals are the team that can help the cowboys out if they lose three of there last four.

I have Seattle winning the west...therefore, eliminating them from the equation entirely...makes no sense to root for philly if that's the case...win or lose today, I still think sea wins their division

The Seahawks have the 49ers, Rams and Cardinals left. They could lose any of those games and they can win anyone of them. The Eagirls on the other hand.......their schedule is far more friendly.

Eagirls really need to lose though a Seahawks loss wouldn't be terrible.

I wonder why the Cowboys chances of winning the division improve .3% if the Vikings beat the Jets. Seems like that is among the least relevant games, since neither Dallas or PHI has played either of those teams.

I am still not sure what is best for us in that SEA-Phil game. I see the arguments for both sides. I think SEA wins the division, so I hope they win, it would be worse if Philly beats them and they still go in to win the West.

I am praying that DET and ARI lay an egg though........................

falcons / packers not sure. i guess falcons so that GBs odds at division are increased putting us in a battle with detroit for wildcard??

Just a quick synopsis.

There's a thread in the "News Zone" that covers all possibilities, but it's an interesting question because it depends on whether you think Dallas has a realistic shot at the Division, or better chance at a WC. If you think Division, then you want Seattle to win (but that improves Seattle's odds of overtaking us for a WC). You either want Arizona to win out or lose out, depending on your perspective. If they win out, they would be a higher seed than us, but increase our odds of a WC. If they lose out, San Fran or Seattle would win the Division with the other having a great shot at a WC. On the other hand, Arizona, themselves, would be out all together. Bottom line, it's a jumbled mess right now. Personally, I'm thinking Division Championship all the way and will worry about a WC if/when the Division is no longer possible.

I'm basically ambivalent about the Seahawks-Eagles game. If the Eagles win, it improves our overall chances of making the playoffs; if the Seahawks win, it improves our chances of winning the division. And the other way around, an Eagles win really kills our chances of winning the division, while a Seahawks win means that we'd better beat the Eagles or else those last two games really become must win for a Wild Card berth.
