This could very well be like what they did with Vince Young last year. Kick the tires on him. Run him through an OTA or two and see whats there. Hell I wouldn't mind if we did the same thing with Tebow, assuming its a zero risk look.

I wouldn't get too worked up about this unless you are Matt Barkley. Chances are Barkley is going to get cut or traded. So, the Eagles most likely swapped out Barkley for Tebow. I think this only benefits them in game planning. I think Tebow is a good sideline game manager and studies the game well. Good motivator also. Tebow's future is in coaching.

They brought in a guy who will start training camp as the 4th string QB, and may work his way up to 3rd. So let's not go overboard here. In all actuality, it probably is an imrovement over last year's #3 on that team.

The problem is, with that cult following Tebow has and the way Philly hates on every QB if they throw a single INT or two; Tebow will see a start in Philly before the end of the season. Media will be crying for it, fans will be crying for it, and the Philly fanbase will have Chip's head on a pike if it doesn't happen.

I have no idea what the fascination over Tebow is. I understand he won a playoff game, congratulations, but he's just not made for the NFL. Probably a good guy and everything, but stick with being an analyst; it was a good gig.

How do they feel about overpaid injury prone RBs that have a tendency to fumble?

Difference is, the Eagles don't even have a dependable starter. Do they even have a player on their roster who took a snap last season?

You could argue when we signed Weeden, Romo couldn't be seen as dependable due to his back injury but he was still "our guy".

EDIT----I forgot they resigned Sanchez.

Whats next, you'll want us to go get JFF so we can kick the tires on another flop?

If you don't give him any appreciable signing bonus you've done nothing. You get a look for nothing. So yes its not a terrible idea, despite the fact that you seem to think so. Now if you give him signing bonus then its a bad idea.
