The problem with the Tebow phenomenon is that “it” will set the Broncos
organization back in the long run. Let’s assume that Denver continues their hot
streak, and makes a serious run at the AFC West title. Whether they actually win
it or not doesn’t matter. Just being in contention will be enough for the
phenomenon to grow along with the pressure for John Elway to keep Tebow as the
starting QB in Denver.

There are many saying that Tebow won’t make it as a NFL QB but I think it is too soon to write him off. It took a few seasons before Elway really started to blossom. The key will be if Tebow can adapt and improve. The jury is still out on that one. I think he is going to need some serious off-season work before we can start seeing a marked improvement in his passing game. But given what he’s limited to at the moment I think he is doing a marvelous job of overachieving.

Many of the “experts” would write him off because he isn’t doing it the way they think it should be done. I love it when someone is successful in spite of the opinions of “experts.” We have yet to see what Tebow will become, but if he can win running the option, with limited passing, just think what he’ll do if he does adapt to a NFL style offense. And I say that with the understanding that"he"isn't doing it by himself. But my point is, all other things being equal, rising his game play to a more conventional NFL style would be something special.

If success in the NFL comes through hard work and determination I wouldn’t bet against this guy.

I've said it to friends before. It really sucks to be the Broncos management right now. Yeah Tebow is winning you games. But he will never win a SB with his current play style and is only hurting that teams draft position. But they can't really bench the guy with the cult following and money he brings to the team. Not to mention right now he is winning them games. No excuses about his WRs sucking either, Decker is a great WR. Not to mention, how can anyone catch it when the ball is 10 feet over their head.

They traded their best WR for a 5th round pick.

And Decker "great"?

I'd wait until he has a little history of production before labeling him that. He's basically all they have now.

whose to say his play style remains the same, 2-3 years from now

I'll say this much: when Tebow scored what proved to be the winning touchdown, Elway clapped for a few seconds, but when they cut back to him, he had a sour look on his face.

It's probably just a coincidence. Elway was probably worried that 58 seconds was still a lot of time left. But I couldn't help thinking that what is playing out in Denver is something akin to a real life version of the movie Major League.

In the Bronco's defense, Marshall is a wack job (Good receiver, but crazier than hell), so getting him out of there with where they are was good thing imo.

I agree with you to wait, but Elway was a pitcher and could throw with pin point accuracy, Tebow doesn't have the luxury of that skill set yet, it will take several years and coaches to get him anywhere near where he needs to be for an NFL caliber caliber QB.

All that is certainly true. Secretly Elway has to admit Tebow can't lead this offense to 20+ points consistently each week. JMO but this gets worse for Elway as the schedule isn't loaded with teams who can light up the scoreboard each week. This will only empower the Tebow fan club as they continue to win games. I can see them finishing out at 4-2 with this:

Sun 11/27 at San Diego 4:15 pm
Sun 12/4 at Minnesota 4:05 pm
Sun 12/11 Chicago 4:05 pm
Sun 12/18 New England 4:15 pm
Sat 12/24 at Buffalo 1:00 pm
Sun 1/1 Kansas City 4:15 pm

Honestly, Denver deserves it. Never should have made the pick.
