Does anyone know anything about this file "spoolsv.exe" or what it is? Everytime I restart this PC it totally overloads it and uses up tp 99% of my "system resources." Takes me a good 20 minutes to get my pC working properly again. I have to shut it down 3 seperate times for it to finally go away so I can surf the web and basically do anything.

Before I try to delete/uninstall it, I'd like some helpful hints from some of the more tech savvy in here.

Thanks.

It the service that runs your printer so don't delete it unless you want to reinstall windows. The first thing you should always try is a spyware and virus scan.

I run anti-spyware/adaware/norton religiously. It's not that.

Apparently it is an old print job that won't go away. I disabled print spooling on THIS pc and it seems to have rectified the issue.

Thanks.

Yes spool is always a printer related issue.

You may wish to delete your printer and software.

Reinstall them and it may help out.

If not you can always install windows over the existing windows...not a separate windows, not a complete format of the hard drive with and windows from scratch, but over the existing windows.

I seen you fixed the situation but if for some reason you can not get your printer to work after that you may wish to do some of the things I suggested.
