Behold:

(notice he sent a nudge after two seconds!)

07:42:33PM System: "Thanks for choosing chat for your technical support needs. A chat agent will be with you shortly. Just so you know, you can also visit our website at support.dell.com to get technical help."
02/25/2010 07:43:53PM Session Started with Agent (Purushotham_206817)
02/25/2010 07:43:57PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "Thank you for contacting Dell XPS Premium Support. My name is purushotham and my rep ID number is 206817. How may I help you today?"
02/25/2010 07:43:59PM Agent sent nudge
02/25/2010 07:44:17PM Michael: "Hello, I actually have two issues if you don't mind."
02/25/2010 07:45:08PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "Hi Michael, I will try my best to assist you with both the issues."
02/25/2010 07:45:16PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "Could you please elaborate on the issue so that I can assist you better?"
02/25/2010 07:46:56PM Michael: "Thanks. The first issue: A couple months ago Dell sent me a replacement laptop for my other one that had been damaged. Naturally, I was supposed to send the damaged system back, however, a return label was never provided to me. I've called and chatted a couple of times and each time I am told that I will be emailed a return label, but I have not received one. I've double checked everything, including spam.
02/25/2010 07:47:16PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "Okay."
02/25/2010 07:48:22PM Michael: "So.... I'm hoping you can assist me with getting a return label so I may return the damaged system?"
02/25/2010 07:50:30PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "Michael, I will be glad to provide you the tracking number for the above shipment."
02/25/2010 07:50:50PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "The tracking number is : 1Z3V714V9094537642."
02/25/2010 07:51:21PM Agent (Purushotham_206817): "We are extremely sorry that you have not received the return bill through email."
02/25/2010 07:51:37PM Michael: "Sir, I have not sent the system back because a label was not provided to me to put on the box and send it back. How can there be a tracking number?"
Customer ended the session.
I did not see the point of continuing. He was too stupid to handle the other issue.

if you are into computers and still going to Dell for help, yeah they are smarter than you. Plain and simple, dell doesnt work and never has.

:lmao: If you have tried tech support a few times and still haven't received the just a simple label, that should tell you something.

That's a load of crap. I work with Dell everyday and have never had a problem they did not fix even when I have bought a consumer line product. The machines we usually buy are the corporate line and when I have to call them I get to someone in Austin, Nashville, or OKC that speaks perfect English. Just because you had a bad experience with them doesn't mean the company is bad.

I didn't mean to go off on a rant on you I just get tired of hearing that Dell is some evil monster that doesn't take care of their customers because I know for a fact it's not true.

First of all dont act like you know me or we talk on a regular basis, i never base any opinion off one experience.

Second, just because they might work well for you, or computers made of Lego's thats fine, the real people that had to repair, or try to work with, or any kind of dealing with Dell all said the same thing, go someplace else.

Talking with people that worked with Dell, trying to deal with Dell about their products and their tech support has by a sample of over 100 machines all scored 100 percent "went another route to fix a Dell computer".

So dont act like since they are alrite by your standards are the standards of which to go bye.

Sure, 1 miilion Toyota Prius's are alrite and still on the road, do you see anyone in Congress buying that defense? How about the cars that killed people?

Well bob down the street never had a problem and hes sick of hearing it. WEll it just doesnt float and I would think again before you go on a rant because you feel Dell is great, THEY ARE NOT and they will prove it to you if you go to wherever Dell is and try to talk with them. I have done that. People with i know have gone and done that, companies I know will no longer deal with Dell. Contracts abroad were killed with Dell.

AND OBVIOUSLY THE OP IS SAYING THAT AS WELL.

i had a dell and my girlfriend has a dell. my girlfriends dad bought hers through his company, every time she had a problem she would call dell and get some middle easterner, then give the number under the computer(laptop) and they would transfer her to someone in America who could speak English and they would fix her problem easily. if it was a hardware problem they would send someone out free of charge within a few days.

now when i had a problem i didn't get transfered to America and had experiences similar to the OP where they just couldn't really understand what i was telling them.

you may or may not have noticed that i didn't not post for about 3 months near the end of the season....thats because when my laptop crapped out that is how long it took to first get some help then send it off and wait to get it back.

basically if you don't purchase it through a corporate account or you don't purchase the top of the line warranty along with the preferred customer or front of the line service plan or whatever they call it you have to put up with the outsourced workers from India and thats a crap shoot at best.

Ohhhh, I don't know, I think it'd be kinda cool to have a computer made of LEGOS?

I had a Go-Kart made out a pickles once, Chuck.

but you said you had consumer line products as well. my point was that your experience with dell is different than what would prolly be the majority of other peoples experiences for a reason. i would imagine you buy your consumer products through your company like my girlfriends dad did which would be why you still have no problems. but i could be wrong.

I have a Dell Dimension 8400 that's limping towards the finish line. When I upgrade later this summer, it wont be another Dell.
