1. Jonathan Cooper G North Carolina- Not buying the hype that the top 5 OL including 2 guards will be gone by 18. I do believe that 4 tackles could be off the board by the time it gets back to us but one guard should be there. Cooper will make Cowboys Nation rejoice.

2. Phillip Thomas S Fresno State- Thomas had 8 interceptions in 2012 for us Cowboys fans, we truly don't understand the word interception by a safety. He is a ball hawk that is not afraid to hit. He will be the best safety in this draft.

3. David Quessenberry, C/G, San Jose State- The boys are rumored to be VERY interested in Quessenberry, he offers flexibility to the line. He can play Center, Guard or RT. His tape shows that he can get to the second level and is a hustler. He is stronger then most think. Our OL becomes a strength by adding Coop and Quessenberry.

4. Stepfan Taylor RB Stanford- I think everyone knows my feelings here, he is my pet cat. He will be a contributor from day 1.

5. Josh Boyce WR TCU- I watch his video and I get goosebumps. He is a straight up baller. He will push for playing time, I know I have not addressed the defensive line but Boyce is the BPA in the 5th. You do not reach for need in the 5th and 6th you go with the BPA.

6. Stansly Maponga*, DE/OLB, TCU- Back to back TCU guys, I am thinking Maponga had an injury and he didn't play up to his caliber last year that causes him to fall to the 6th round. He has ability to be very good and could contribute on special teams as well as learn from Spencer and Ware.

I know we still need DL help but I think we go and look at what is left in FA.

Israel Idonije, Dwight Freeney,Ray Edwards etc... I just think that our D will be motivated this year and much better by just being healthy. Lee, Carter, Durant will be like 3 new starters, Ratliff, Ware will be healthy and then add Thomas at safety. Our D will be much better then most think.

What do you guys think, I want to do one more before the draft.

I doubt we wait until the 6th round to draft DL help. I wouldn't mind going O-Line with our first 2 picks, but Jerrah would never do that.

Don't love Phillip Thomas in the 2nd. If he fell to the 4th I would possibly take him. But he was quite disappointing on tape. Terrible tackler. Watch the Oregon game, you wouldn't want this guy in the 7th round.

I would take 7 or 8 safeties higher then him

I like the draft
Cooper and Thomas would start and maybe even Quessenberry.
Ideally, I would prefer Thomas and maybe even Quessenberry a round later.
Stefon would contibute as well.

Can't imagine us going that late for Dline though.
Maybe push everyone down one round and take Kwan Short in Rd 2 ;)

I kind of don't understand all of these mocks that have us taking another slot and/or possession type WR. I do like Boyce ok, but we have at least three already. I guess if the value is too good to pass up...

I will watch that game, from the highlights I have seen he is a hitter and is around the ball constantly. Oregon made almost every safety look ridiculous. Swearinger is another safety I like a lot.. I believe Reid, Vaccaro, Cyprien and Swearinger are all gone by pick 2.

Wilcox could be another avenue, kind of uncertain where he actually lands..

I asked that question about WR and both replies are injury concerns. Austin, Coale, Beasley all went down at one point and time. That's 3 of your top 5. So, Boyce is great value in the 5th and actually could push for viable playing time.

Disagree with Thomas. I watched every game of Fresno State, sure that was a down game, but guy responded with 9 total tackles, a sack, and a fumble.
He pretty much ran that defense leading the team in solo tackles, and total tackles.
He made up for a lot of the mental lapses on the dline believe it or not. Thomas is a 2nd round pick and I think it is great value. A 4th would be highway robbery. And I would say other than Oregon, he is pretty good on tape, considering the youth he was working with up front.

Alsom he is a Jim Thorpe award finalist; they don't just hand those out to poor anythings.

That and I think despite Boyce's size, he can play outside and in the slot.

Nothing against the player. The guy has advanced route-running skills. He is a little bit like Danny Coale in that sense.
I guess if Harris can play outside some then so can Boyce. They both did so in college, but seem to prject better in the slot at the next level.
CBS Sports has Boyce listed at 5'11 with 31' arms.
I've also seen him at 5/11 1/2 and I guess some just round him him to 6'0, but he is under that.

I think we could get a good DT In the 2-4 range.. Assuming we take oline or safety in the first.

Maybe a Short, B. Logan. I hope the draft falls well enough that we get a good quality and good value DT and hope we do not wait till the six and take one just to take one.

Short is all over the place from mid 20's to us, I do not think he will be there with our 2nd round pick, but I wouldn't mind him. If someone knows how to motivate this guy he can be a beast.

Logan, not a big fan, truly not a big fan of LSU lineman, they come out just adequate, nothing special. I think they are just the product of the system and in the NFL just average to slightly above average. I mocked him once but after looking at the tape more, I saw Spears, a good but not special player.

I like Jordan Hill out of Penn State over Logan.

But if a Star, Jones UCLA, one of the Williams is taken I would be ok with those picks.

Star Jones probably could've played DT for us before she lost all the weight.
