There are players that I see in this draft that if we play our cards right, we could be set now and in the future, and come out with 3 starters and a couple of big role players.

1. Jalen Ramsey CB-(starter) No brainer if he is there, which is tough to say. All 3 teams before the Cowboys could take him, but this is my want Mock, so he is there, we solidify this secondary with a true playmaker. Yes he only had 3 interceptions, but teams rarely took their shots at him, so you have to take that into consideration.

2. Josh Docston WR- (starter) Once again, he could be gone,or he could be there, but if he is there we have a young WR2 who will be the perfect compliment to Dez Bryant. TWill will get playing time, but Docston would take over his role before week 1.

3. Devante Booker RB-(potential starter) I think he is there in RD3 (baby Marshawn) he runs with toughness, has good acceleration through the holes and has good vision. I would like to see his pass catching ability get a tad better, but he fits the mold to keep the time of possession in our favor.

4. Tyronne Holmes DE- (Marnelli wave guy) Could be a great rotational DE for this team that actually be the starter by mid season. He has good bend, great motor, and relentless to the QB.

4. Comp- Hassan Ridgeway DT- (Marnelli wave guy) Not finished adding to the DL, we need a stronger backup to T Crawford, and Ridgeway is that guy. He is a force in the middle, he picked the wrong year to come out, he could be a late Rd1 early RD 2 in any other draft that wasn't this deep at DT.

6. Justin Simmons S- (potential starter) A player that has good ball hawk skills, in my opinion, he would be better than Church or Wilcox, but I see them easing him into the line up and getting on special teams right away. Only reason I don't see him as a starter, they love Church too much.

6 Comp Vernon Adams QB- (potential QB2) Im using two of these comp picks at QB to compete with Moore and see if any of these are potential late draft gems. I like Adams more then most might, he is small, but I see a Drew Brees type player (not for one bit saying he is Drew Brees) His size, his arm is better then given credit for, and he is smart QB that will master his craft. Very athletic QB that looks to pass before run, but can escape when the pocket collapse.

6 Comp Brandon Allen QB- (battle QB 2 or 3) Yes I am using two picks here and yes I think this is a wise move, between both of these QB's I think one will be successful and a QB1, while the other will be a serviceable QB2. Smart QB with good velocity, can hit the sideline throws and can put it in the bucket when needed. Competition level is different, and he will take some time, but I can see him succeeding.

6 Yannick Ngakoue DE- (potential Marnelli wave guy) He may not be here, but this is where most have him projected. Cowboys set up a private workout. He is strong bull rush type player, not as much bend as I would like but I could see him battling for a roster spot. But I like how he gets upfield and gets pressure on the QB.

Go ahead have at it, Im sure Docston may be questioned because he may be gone, Thomas could be there, we need a WR2, with TWill contract expiring after this year.

Others have a chance to be there, but everyone knows the draft is crazy, it could go sideways fast.

Go Cowboys!

My one disagreement would be so little effort finding a quality QB
the back up QB was our biggest problem last year

Thanks, like I said I like Adams more then most, my blind eye I guess on him.

Hoyer may be an option once Texans release or trade?

QB is tough one.

I feel pretty sure that none of this year's rookies, as rookies, would have done any better than Cassell last year.

Drafting a QB this year will not help us at all THIS year, even if Romo somehow went down again for 10+ games.

It would, however, at least set in motion the future of the position 2-4 years from now.

Allen is not a bad pick if he fell that far. Don't think he will ever be an elite QB but he is a smart player who improved every year in college. I think he goes in the 4th rnd and will be a decent QB

There is no way Ngakoue last until the 6th round in fact he's moving up the draft board and looks like a late 1st rounder, or early 2nd round.

Don't see Rd1 or 2 with him, early Rd4. Maybe late Rd 3, but I said he may be gone. I believe he is moving up.

Thanks

I would love this mock. I'm starting to come around to the idea of taking Ramsey as a CB instead of trading down or taking Mack.
