I know who he is but that's it. I don't watch the NBA so know little about him. I just watched a video where he schooled Skip Bayless and make Skip look bad and I loved it. One other question, would you want him owning the Cowboys?

He's filthy rich and looks like he has a great time with his money.

He's also kind of got that "Jay Cutler; looking plastered drunk even when stone sober" appearance about him.

He made his fortune from creating HD TVs, and I think he had something to do with the SportsCenter bottom line as well. Don't know if that's well known stuff but it was news to me when I found out

I never heard the HD TV part but he made the majority of his money from Audionet.com which became broadcast.com. I always thought it was computer software.

Cuban made his money when Yahoo bought out his company, broadcast.com.
I think his take was close to 3 billion....with a "B".

I know him to some degree and have close friends who have known him for 25 years....one lived with him for many years and others made a few million working with him.

He is creative and very bright. He's also pretty loyal vs most filthy rich people.

Before the Yahoo bonanza, he also made a ton off of another company (micro solutions) he created in the late 80s.

He did not get rich off of HDTV...it was more of hobby business.

His 1st big move after buying the Mavs was to hire a true basketball man to be his GM/Coach...Don Nelson.
That alone would be a dream scenario for the Cowboys.

wasn't broadcast.com kinda a link to places that actually broadcasted something?

He does everything he can to make the Mavs competitive every year, so yes.

Except for when they missed on Shaq, and D.Will, and Kobe, and re-signing Nash and Chandler, and getting Dwight, and after that Iguodala... and other ones I know I missed listing. LOL I really think that is just terrible bad luck though.

Absolutely I would and I'm not saying that because I am a mavericks fan. He was smart enough to make all that money in the business world and he is smart enough to know to let his staff run the team. He may be the owner, but being the owner doesn't automatically you qualified as being a coach and he knows that. He's a "outspoken" owner but I honestly wouldn't mind if JJ remained outspoken if he hired a gm.

I wouldn't confuse trying to do all you can with landing whoever you want.
He can't force those players to play in Dallas.
