Tenn QB Josh Dobbs

Any idea where he is expected to go in the draft? I watch a decent amount of college football and have seen him play about 8 times this year and he has been very good. Something about him. He looks to me like the next Dak Prescott. Similar style of play. I would like the Cowboys to draft him to back Dak up.

One draft site I saw (don't know the date) had him ranked as the 8th or 9th ranked QB of this class. But, I don't see him that low. I can see him climbing the draft boards Aerospace engineering student. Interned at Pratt and Whitney so they say in the bowl game

I don't really see us taking a QB in the draft at all, could be wrong.

I would take a QB in a heartbeat. We went through 4-12 because we didn't have a good backup on the team. I would go with Dak and someone like Sanchez as the #2 and then always trying to groom a good #3 as trade bait.

I live in Tennessee and watch all the Vols' games. He's a very inconsistent passer. Especially on the downfield 10+ yard throws.

Didn't they (the experts) say the same or similar thing about Dak? From what I have seen, when he is on his game, he is very good. Smart and athletic. He has 3 (?) TDs today.

Yes, similar things were said about Dak and he's proven them wrong. Maybe Dobbs will too, but I'm just telling you what I've seen over the course of his UT career. Sure looks great tonight though.

Don't waste a roster spot or a pick on a qb when your qb is a rookie
I get the idea of a backup but with the reps a backup gets it's better to have a vet there
