An unnamed personnel official tells the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Tennessee DT Dan Williams "has the Miami Dolphins written all over him."

The Dolphins, fittingly, are also in need of a two-gap nose tackle. While there are "one-year wonder" concerns about Williams, the Dolphins' coaching staff got to know him up close at Senior Bowl and came away impressed. He'll almost certainly be on their radar with the No. 12 overall pick.

i think after they got the linebacker from cardinals they will go DT, they need help on defensive line badly

dan williams fits that bill to a tee,

yeah i know, thats just the pits, i was hoping with his disease that mcclain has he might fall some and we might be able to get him

i admit im not thrilled with picking another linebacker with our first round draft choice, but mcclain is a super player, war horse type player

I have yet to miss the Dolphins pick in a mock for the last 8 years (yes even the Tedd Ginn pick) for a reason. If I was to do one today, Williams you be the guy I put there.

I not sure about that. I think he will be a great pro but I have read where he is not suited for the 4-3 defense. I would do cartwheels as many on this board would if he some how fell to us but it would take a miracle for that to happen.

yeah if somehow we got mcclain, Hostile would be floating on clouds for a week for sure, probably jumping up and down and dancing a jig

again im not fond of drafting a linebacker with our first pick, but i wouldnt mind mcclain, we wouldnt have to worry about linebackers after that for years with ware, spencer, brandon williams, s hodge, jason williams and mcclain with spears on the team for 4 more years and brooking still here for a couple of years

I think Williams at the Dolphins pick would be a bit of a reach. I figured he'd be a bottom of the first round guy, personally.

The only way he's not a Dolphin is if the Bills take him first. Denver was also a likely landing spot until they signed Jamal Williams.
