Tennis: French Open Live

Good match going on right now with Nadal vs Isner.

Nadal 6
Isner 4

Isner 7
Nadal 6

third set tied 1-1

Holy cow. World #1 Rafael Nadal is on the verge of being upset by American John Isner!

I'm surprised they aren't watching it here. They almost always watch the big tennis matches. Especially since our company owner is French.

In major tournaments (golf or tennis) like this, I usually stream the event all day on one monitor while working away on my second monitor :)

And the most dominant male athlete on the planet right now keeps rolling on. Djokovich is just unbeatable right now.

Maybe not the most dominant after all. Federer is whooping up on Djokovich right now pretty good.

Rafael Nadal is my favorite tennis player. Go RAFA!!!

He sure looked solid against Andy Murray earlier today. It's going to be one heck of a final on Sunday!

Good match, Federer went to sleep there in the 1st set and might be too late for him to mount a comeback.

I think Nadal was about to close that set then it was pretty much over with. Oh they are back to warmups now.

Wow. Nadal now just one set away. Federer needs another couple of rain delays :D

Federer won a set finally. With a couple of breaks to boot...he just won't go away. I would bet every set played goes to 7 games to win (3 out of 3 so far)

Well I was sure wrong. Nadal just slammed the door in that last set to win. Congratulations to The King of Clay!

Good stuff from Rafa, I still can't get why he is not as good on other surfaces.

RAAFFFFAAA!!! Yea boy!

Congratulations to Rafael Nadal on his 6th French Open and 10th in total.

He gets to every ball, that's the strength of his game. He doesn't serve as well other guys.

Clay surfaces play slow and the ball kicks up higher, making it harder to hit power winners. Frequently players will slide on the clay, making it easy to go full speed into the shot, without having to "brake", meaning you get to more balls that way too. You either wait till you opponent makes a mistake or you hit the ball with more spin to fool your opponent, which Nadal is also really good at.

Power winners are much easier on other surfaces.
