Is he suppose to practice this week?

thats the word, its on ESPN.com in Newman's profile

he also said himself he is ready to go, and would have actually played last night if it had been a regular season game...I doubt he plays vs Minnesota, but he should be out there for Cleveland

Their just being cautious, no sense taking the chance on reaggravating it in the preseason. The longer he rests it the better chance its fully healed.

Gotta have him: I wonder if he shouldn't take a few series against
vikes to make sure he's in football shape? Just a thought.....because it's pretty hard to cover b.edwards or stallworth after being off the field for over a month........

Practice? Practice?

Are you talking to me about practice? It's practice.

Practice.

I'm fine with Newman starting the first game of the season if he can't practice right up until it.

He played a big role last night.

He brought towels out to the players in the huddle during tv timeouts!
