I'm sure the patients he treats aren't professional football players who play hurt all the time. You won't find a player out there who doesn't have something bothering them.

Football players play with broken bones for crying out loud. They receive daily treatment to get them back on the field.

He injured his ankle vs the Giants. Its not the dreaded High Ankle sprain but its nagging. His ribs are better but still not fully healed; for a while he was getting shot up every game.

It was common knowledge and widely reported, not some stuff that people are making up, similar to a lot of the "facts" you bring the board on a semi-consistent basis.

You claimed Newman has played well this season do you honestly think most of the fans here are going to buy into anything you have to say? Anyone who claims Newman has played well this season loses all credibility.

I'm on the same page with most of the views that have been expressed about Newman so if you're knocking my views you're knocking the views of most everyone else.

This is all non productive for you because you're one of the only fans in Cowboys nation who actually believes Newman has played well this season. With that stance any debate you enter in on this topic is going to be like standing in front of a firing squad. LOL Most fans here hold players to alot higher standard than you do.

It's not possible to build a chain of reasoning with anyone if they're going to continue to claim Newman has played well this season despite being beaten repeatedly. My opinion is Newman hasn't played well this season and is in decline. If you don't agree with me stop wasting our time and move on!

If you think he's playing well and it's everyone else who's at fault in the secondary you'll continue looking foolish.

Start a poll and see how many support your position that he's played well this season and oppose mine that he hasn't and is in decline. :toast:

You're right it seems some people do have agendas here, like defending a CB who has been picked on and beat left and right this year.

Just to get it out there, my agenda.. winning football games.

No one has to play perfect football for me to appriciate them, in fact i don't even think that is possible over a 16 week season, but simply an exagerration by you to try and prove a point.

The fact is Newman hasn't played anywhere close to good football this year, and it seems to be always something else to blame. The safeties, the pass rush, injuries, scheme, etc..

Its never Newman's fault to some here, which i find to be ridiculous. If Newman's injuries were that extensive, he wouldn't even be out on the field. People claim he's out there because we have no one better to play the position, but if he was really seriously injured, that'd be like saying we should play Tony because we have no one better than him at the QB position.

He had bruised ribs and a sore ankle.. and those injuries came weeks ago. Anyone who claims to know just how much his injuries have limited his play is downright foolish. He certainly doesn't look like he's being hampered too much out there, with some of the tackles he's made and running around at the end of the Washington game last week as well. If he is receiving pain relieving shots before games, they take away almost all soreness in your body, and there should be no excuse either way.

I don't think he's a terrible CB, but certainly he's not as good as some here want to make him out to be. We could definately stand to bring some young talent in and make everyone compete to keep their jobs though.

In particular, I'm not claiming that everyone who knocks his play doesn't know what they're looking at. I'm claiming you don't know what you're looking at, or talking about. Hell man, i agree with those facts. As for this year, you won't see anyone tell you that he's been a good CB or even an above average CB. His play has been inconsistent and mediocre at best. Again, if you need someone who is on TV to justify everything you observe on the field, thats cool for you man. Some of us can observe the game however, and know when a player doesn't have it. My evidence is what i see on the field.. if that's not good enough for burmafrd, i apoligize.

Where did I say I know more than a doctor? I said I doubt Jobberone's patients are professional football players who are use to playing with injuries.

I said I doubt his patients receive the kind of treatment on a daily basis that professional football players receive.

I'm sure he's read my comments and he's more than welcome to refute anything I've said. You're just showing up to stir things up because very few fans here buy into the Newman injury excuses you apologists keep using.

I've haven't been following all your posts on this topic but you seem to think all of us who claim Newman is in decline have an agenda and want him cut.

You won't find one post from me where I want him cut. I don't think he's a horrible player but he's clearly in decline and has been inconsistent. He's going to have to be replaced in the next year or two.

The first players that need to be replaced if our secondary is going to improve are both safeties especially Ball. We went from bad with Hamlin to worse with Ball.
