Again, it's not your posting style. It's a very typical point by point rebuttal.

Dissecting comments point by point the way you're doing is my style I've been doing this on post boards for 9 years.

Everytime I engage in a lengthy debate like this the other poster starts following my lead. The very first board I posted on was the Fort Worth Star Telegram back in 02.

On that board you had to copy and past a quote in bold or in a different color font and add the posters name. Once I started doing it EVERYONE started doing it.

I've had posters try using lines on me that I've used on them you've done in this thread. LOL If I say they're delusional they'll throw it back at me.

I've seen this same MO many times it makes you look foolish but be my guest. :toast: LOL

Also, it's hilarious that "under your skin" is considered your line, according to you!Now, you're REALLY reaching for anything, just grasping in an attempt to hang on to this ride!

You know the "ignore list" is a function of this site, correct?

I've never bothered looking for an ignore feature only cowards use that as a way escaping another poster. If someone's bugging me I'll bug them until they've had enough of me. Once they see how resilient I am they steer clear.

I don't necessarily have to ignore you in order for you to still be on this list. Are you purposely this dense or do you just fail at reading?

What's the purpose of you putting me on an ignore list if you're not going to ignore me?

Are you that dense to tell someone you're going to ignore them only to continue responding to their posts?

If you really believe that then you'd be very surprised at my level of education but I could have quit school in high school and got where I am today.

Really? Give some examples. I've merely said that it is likely they affected him. The fact that you completely refute any possibility that they affected him is quite possibly the most ignorant position I've EVER debated against.

One example would be that all you've been doing is blaming his subpar play on injuries.

I have never refuted that there isn't a "possibility" that he's being affected by an injury that's just more of your inability to comprehend and twist my comments.

I've said repeatedly that I haven't seen any "signs" of him being hampered on the field with an injury.

When Revis had his hammy you could clearly see that he was being affected by it on the field and it caused his level of play to drop off. The Jets ended up having to sit him so it could heal.

There's no facts that support Newman's play is being affected by injuries and there's no facts to support that his play isn't being affected by injuries.

We're both speculating but I base my position on the fact that his play was subpar prior to him being injured this season and his play has been subpar weeks after his last known injury.

But, using your logic, an example is enough to prove a point, right? I'm mean, you HAVE said such things. I can quote you again if you need it.

Not every example is going to prove a point it's merely an example a "likelihood."

Go quote me and include the link to the post because I never claimed that "every" example is going to conclusively prove a point especially when you're discussing athletes. They're human beings and no two people are exactly alike.

The fact that he was an alternate should say enough, given the quantity of corners in this league. "Was" was only a mere year ago. Please...

Last year he wasn't even voted in as an alternate. He was a replacement for an alternate because the alternates were pulling out...NEXT! (yawn)

He was exploiting Jenkins so why move away from him when he was having success? LOL

Any QB with sense especially a rookie is going to stay with what's working. Jenkins was the least experienced and he's having a worse year than Newman.

Not only has Jenkins been getting beat this season but he's committed a number of PI's....NEXT! (yawn)

You can't prove that Newman's decline is due to injuries. Like I've said repeatedly his decline didn't just start this season.

You could see signs in 08 that he wasn't quite as reliable as he was a few years earlier when he wouldn't allow receivers to beat him.

You did say that teams don't play players who are affected by injury. There is no twisting here. Dance some more...:laugh2:

It was obvious Barber was being hampered by an injury you could tell the way he was running. LOL He missed some time with that injury and never looked completely healthy when he returned.....NEXT!

That's a tender young age. Only 10 years older than Newman. You're right, Newman is just too old!

So you think Newman can run a 4.4 or 4.38 40? Like I told you not everyone is the same. I'm willing to bet Newman couldn't run under 4.5 now.

You even admitted he's slowed up some. Dez looks faster than Newman and he ran a 4.52 at his pro day. Even when Newman arrived in the NFL he never looked as fast on the field as he timed in the 40 which was around 4.35.

Some players play faster than they time and some play slower.

Newman had 70 yards of daylight and was 10 yards clear of everyone in 07 against Buffalo after picking off a pass and was chased down by Lee Evans and an RB. LOL

Even the RB made up almost 10 yards on Newman to catch him. They both caught him at the same time. Dez plays faster than he times you could clearly see his speed on his punt returns and he had a bad ankle.

Scandrick is faster than Newman you could clearly see that on Jacksons 91 yard TD. Scandrick was on Jacksons tale the entire way and wasn't losing ground he just couldn't catch him.

Newman on the other hand was losing ground on both Scandrick and Jackson and gave up the chase at around the 25 yard line. I would say Newman has lost at least 2 steps since he came into the league.

Just because some athletes maintain their speed late in life doesn't mean it happens with every athlete even athletes 10 years younger. You're either missing every point I've made or just looking to argue. I think its combination of both. That's your agenda!
