Kind of a random thought, don'tcha think? In any case, T-New caught Moss from behind, who many regard as one of the fastest recievers in the league. I don't think his speed or desire can be questioned.

yeah it was alittle random,but i'm kinda tired of the
"the refs suck and screwed seattle threads"
Seattle screwed Seattle ....I think that game shoulda/coulda
been over by halftime. but the refs were bad all year not just SB.

The whole Seattle D took bad angles on that play but in pure speed Tnew could come close to catching him but I'm not 100% sure.

Funny cuz I wasn thinking the EXACT same thing when I was watching the replay of that run.

Yes, and he also caught Randy Moss from behing on that 76 yard play where Moss had about a 15 yard lead on him.

Newman got no respect this year... He matched up against top flight receciver week in and week out and never gave up big plays. If he took that Plummer pass the house on Thanksgiving, he'd be starting in the pro-bowl. Zimmer also said after the Carolina game that T-New was more responsible for stopping Steve Smith than the scheme was. I may be wrong, but I don't think he committed a costly interference or holding penalty all year. If that's not a shut down corner, I don't know what is.

dont forget in the seattle game, when Newmans WR(Hackett) Got by him and Hasselback threw what looked to be a long completion, Newman had that burst of speed at the end and smacked the ball away. He has speed and tons of talent!!!!!1
