Maybe when players take pay cuts, they don’t get additional guarantees. Maybe that’s why it’s a restructure and not a pay cut. But you are right, it’s a bit annoying.

He took a pay cut because his agent, and the player, probably knew he would be cut if he didn’t. He is a liability and they need an open competition for the RT position.

Honestly it just kinda shows you how thin the Tackle position around the league. I'm hoping they go get a veteran to compete for a tackle spot, but I doubt they pay for anyone that would create an actual competition.

I get it, defense is top priority but something should be done about the OT position, draft, FA, re shuffling the line, play calling, IDK, something.
