I'm not one of those ~weird Star Trek fans you see on TV. (well, at least not in that way) Though I'm an unapologetic Star Trek fan who uses Star Trek episodes as white noise when I sleep.

If i am not mistaken she was in an episode from the original series, Assignment Earth.

Correct. It was meant to be a spin off but since Trek was not getting very good ratings it died. Could have been fun but what was was.

IT was meant to be one but never actually became one. Like I said, Star Trek ratings were not good enough to get the studio to go ahead with it

No they weren't, it became popular after syndication and reruns
