I've got mixed feelings. If it was the 1980's Schwarzenegger, I'd demand he be in it, but it's getting a little ridiculous to try and squeeze him in near age 60. Find some more badarse body building actors. How hard can it be to act like an emotionless cyborg? :D

T4 Looking Arnieless

Master_SiteArticle296395.jpg

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that producer Andy Vajna said, TERMINATOR 4 could very possibly be shot in Australia -- and most likely without Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Vajna stated, "We were thinking about Australia. We have been looking at the Warner Bros Studios down there but it is early days." He went on to note, "We would like Arnie in it as a cameo... But I am not sure where he is with his politics and all that, we will see."

The script was written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris. No director is attached yet.

Thanks to "AB" for the heads up.

The Writers Of CATWOMAN Bring Us...TERMINATOR 4!!

Australian papers HERE and HERE are reporting that producer Andrew Vajna (yes, I know what that word looks like) may actually, finally, be ramping up for TERMINATOR 4.

Vajna’s extensive credits range from RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II, TOTAL RECALL, and JACOB’S LADDER…to special little films like I, SPY and BASIC INSTINCT 2.

The best news of all? T4 is being characterized as a “real” sci-fi picture. The film’s screenplay is written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, who scripted CATWOMAN, FEMME FATALE, and THE NET – all of which makes the duo’s involvement with a “real sci-fi film” something of an oxymoron.
But, to be fair, they also wrote TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES – which Vajna produced as well.

Personally, I thought T3 was far better than it could easily have been - although, it wasn’t great by any means. I respect the ending of the film, though; took a bit of courage to go that direction. While Judgment Day pretty much had to happen at some point in the TERMINATOR mythos, I was surprised The Powers That Be let a film go out on that note (as opposed to beginning a movie with it, for example).

No word yet on Arnold’s involvement, but they’re thinking about shooting in Australia – hence this news coming from Australia.

The only good thing about T3 was the chick was hot.

The writers of Catwoman? Are they trying to find the worst writers possible?

Not even Halle Berry in a catsuit saved that movie

First of all, it's not about them knowing when to quit. I would love to have a Terminator 4. But they need to get a real director (a good one) and create a GOOD story for it.

Second of all, periods are your friend.

Yeah, I actually enjoyed T3. Did I think it was as good as the first two? Nope. But I still liked it. I think considering it's a legendary series with a fairly famous and talented director who split, they did a pretty good job. George Lucas and the Wachowski Brothers stayed in control of their sci-fi franchises and they never produced anything as compelling as T3 in their later efforts.
