Alright this has been bugging me since I saw the new Terminator...Ive known all along that Kyle Reese was John Connor's father and he was sent back in time by Connor to save his mother Sarah from a Terminator that was also sent back in time....Now, How the hell was John Connor born before Kyle Reese was sent back in time if he was to one that sent Reese back in time in the first place??? My head hurts

Something about a flux capacitor........

Not really sure though. Interesting question.

It's a temporal paradox.

Theoretically, as long as we don't live in a multiverse and the temporal paradox is historically consistent, it's logically valid even though it's counterintuitive.

Its just to keep the connection going. If Kyle doesnt go back to save Sarah then Sarah has John Connor by someone else.

The back and forth is a little much.

Even the The Sarah Connor Chronicles ended the same way. John of today jumps to future and meets Kyle.

This has only bugged you since the new Terminator?? It's "bugged" me since 1984. It's a movie, it's a flaw (unless you want to go into the whole alternate futures thing and maybe theorize there was another John Connor birthed by Sarah who was not the son of Kyle), just deal with it and move on.

How is it logically valid? It's not. There logically has to be some "metaphysical" explanation that transcends what we know. Which is fine, given that it's fiction anyway.

The absolute impossiblility of time travel.

You can go forward in time, but never backwards.

My beef with Terminator Salvation.

If Terminators are so awesome, and their primary goal is to destroy John Connor. Why do they just throw him around instead of Terminating him?

The Arnold cameo was stupid.

Kyle Reese was a wuss. The motorocyle/fish terminators were stupid.

Christian Bale screamed the entire movie. Not kidding, the entire movie. Every single line he screamed.

SPOILER: Connor got a metal rod through his ****ing heart, survived, then got a heart transplant from a semi-terminator half human.

Movie sucked.

It's logical if movement through time is possible in more than one dimension. Although we can't be entirely certain that there are multiple dimensions of time, their existence is logically feasible.

Why is the Arnold cameo stupid? The model being created was the model of the Arnold Terminator.

Bale did not scream the entire movie, He had a few lines that he screamed, all in proper situations.

Kyle is a kid, what do you expect? He held his own enough, he never got his *** kicked. And there's nothing wrong with the motorcycle or water terminators.

You don't know if the beam was through his heart or what the actual damage was specifically. His heart wasn't strong enough to deal with whatever damage was done. What's wrong with getting a new (enhanced) heart in that situation (though I agree it's not really necessary except to get rid of the Marcus character)?

As for the first "beef" I don't really have an answer for that except that it's just a movie, they all have flaws or parts that are inconsistent. Perhaps the programming for the T-800 on the efficiencies of killing weren't complete yet? I dunno, but it's not something I'm going to dwell on.
