Interesting. Escobar in the slot. I like that. Williams could do some good work this week. He is overdue and he does have some skills.
The coaches have been misusing Escobar. He is a huge red zone threat, we saw this his 2nd year, he's a huge mismatch on smaller LBers in the end zone.

I've been surprised we don't use him more after that early success. Instead we always seem to be trying to force the fade route/jump ball to Dez.

I know the coaches see a lot more of these guys than we do, but Escobar completely disappearing from the offense just seems strange to me.

Is his blocking so much worse than Swaim's that we don't even bother trying anymore? I know he's a more dynamic receiver than Swaim. And it's not like Witten is the blocker he once was either. I dunno. It just seems like he should be getting more opportunities.

Well, they pay Bryant the big money and the only thing he is great at is the job ball in the redzone so thats at least understandable. Now, with Dez out maybe Escobar will get his chances in the redzone. Personally, l'd like to see some different options. Escobar is now one of them.

You are right about that. I always wonder if he was targeted more and was involved more would he improve as a WR. He seems very low in looks and targets. He has had some good games with the club.
The problem with T-Will is inconsistent route running and inconsistent hands. Other then those things he's "all world".

How fortuitous, a contract year and the opportunity to counter a stupid play in the opener and prove he is more than just an adequate #2, unless you count the disappearing off the face of the planet at times during a game. Williams will be auditioning for the league to overcome his failure at his last screen test. Who knows? He may get a starring role and big payday like Harper did.

The QB has said he throws to the open receiver so here's your chance, no buddy buddy Romo to Witten, prove your worth. The fact is he's faster and runs better routes than Bryant so he might just seize the opportunity. I would like to be wrong about him and he's more than just a sometimes good #2.

But just shut up and play for your play beats what you say.
You can talk about it all day but all we care about is your play.

He's got the look of a player who will fail in the biggest moment, very much like Patrick Crayton before him. Mark my words, if we rely on this guy in a critical moment, he will undoubtedly fail. And we will suffer for it.

He's got the look.

You mean like in the playoff game against the Lions? Or when he had the toe tapping sideline catch against the Seahawks? Or when he jumpstarted our offense against the Packers during the playoffs? Or last year when he made a crucial catch against the Saints to help us go into overtime?

Yeah, I mean, even I overreact a bit with Williams mistakes. He had a fumble in 2013 against the Chargers, but anyone stating Williams is an automatic fail in pressure situations or critical moments have a short-term memory.

He's made some big plays for us. He also had a big one against the Skins in 2013 that eventually led to the Murray TD.

I would say Williams is actually at his best, normally, in critical moments it seems. Same with Jermaine Kearse in Seattle (another player fans seem to criticize, especially for his hands)

The thing i like the most about Terrance is his fluid running style after the catch...very nice gait..
