Hey folks,

I don't recall any plays made this week by Terrell Hudgins ? This guy really intrigues me, any thoughts we are hiding him to sneak him onto the PS ?

I would all be in favor of dumping RW to keep young prospects like this guy, who could have a great future if we had the space to let him develop.

Thoughts ?

1st off Dallas is not dumping RW if they were going to do that it would have already been done. You can beat that dead horse all you want but it is not going to happen. As for Hudgins I think he has done well thus far in camp and really needs to make a strong push over the next 2 games to challenge for a spot

I though he showed alot of toughness in Raiders game with pulled hamstring and was still able to make 40 yard catch....but all has been quiet since. From what is being said at training camp....Dallas likes Holley because he shows more on special teams and has some upside at WR. But I am pulling for Hudgins - big, tough, great hands - just looks tad slow getting off the line.

That would be a great scenario. I don't think that it's productive to waste time on the Romo to Williams relationship anymore. But that won't happen, because ego is in play.

I do wonder if we've ever "hidden" a good PS prospect by underplaying him during preseason. Seems like an urban myth, but maybe it does happen.

No, it won't happen because as much of an underachiever that Roy is, nobody in their right mind thinks Hudgins could match or exceed his production.

I wish we could keep "Shakespeare" ...... but its a long shot.

I don't expect it to happen this year, but I do think Williams is gone after this season.

And I also believe that the team is hiding Hudgins in order to get him to the practice squad.

He could get the roster spot Roy vacates in 2011.

Do you think RW will be here next year ?

I wonder too. After the Matt Moore deal, I almost think it's possible.

But since our practices are open (yeah right opposing scouts don't attend), they would see those guys anyway.

I almost wish we were cloak-and-dagger like Belichek runs his camp. He doesn't even tell the network who his starters are for preseason games!

OK just stop right there. That isn't going to happen.

Probably not, I agree with you there. I just think in the long run, it would be best.

Although death and taxes and the only certain thing in this world.

*Relucently raises hand, and then points at college production of Hudgins.*

Its more impressive than any accomplishment any of our receivers have had, except for Miles leading the NFC in yards and tieing in TDs last year.

LOL at the suggestion of dumping Roy Williams for Terrell Hudgins.

Hudgins should focus him game on Kareem Osgood, another small school record breaker with a similar body, and become a special teams demon.

The 5-6 WRs are already set for the 53 man roster, imo...this is one position that is not open.

Should I bookmark this for two years down the road ?

Hudgins has had a few moments.

But he's kind of like RW without the entitlement.

1. Neither guy runs back kicks.

2. Neither guy can run down and tackle anybody on STs. Or presumably can block when we're running the ball back.

They're both somewhat crafty pass catchers, not speedy top athletes on this level. Crayton isn't the best athlete in the NFL either, but he was among the top five punt returners in the league last year, if I remember.

If RW is on the 53, I'm all in and we go to war with him and I hope he's awesome. But I'm hoping he doesn't make the 53 (yes it's possible). And Hudgins will do well to make our PS I'm thinking.

I'm sorry, but that might be among the worst arguments I've heard in a long time.
