There's a good article over on ESPN about T.O. Man, the guy had it all and now is broke and looking for work with a new team. The article talks about his childhood with an alcoholic grandmother and the fact he didn't know his father. T.O. was interviewed and he spoke about the suicide of Junior Seau and just suicide in general.

I mean, the guy is coming apart at the seams. He says he has changed from what he was a few years ago but I kind of doubt T.O has the ability to change. He has kids by different mothers and owes back child support. The article is long but the link is below. I think Jerry saying that T.O could help someone was just Jerry's way of supporting a troubled soul.

I know T.O is all about himself but the guy has some serious issues that he has carried since childhood. He has always been too outspoken and his mouth has always gotten him in trouble. I think his playing days are over but I do hope he finds a way to support himself and doesn't do anything stupid like hurt himself.

Opportunities and money beyond the wildest dreams of 99 percent of the population.

No pity here. You lived your life that irresponsibly, without a hint of class or humility, and you end up wondering what happened?

YOU happened, T.O. Perhaps if you'd have just gone by Terrell and handed the ball to the ref.

I supported the signing of TO because I thought he improved the team and help us when a championship. But I didn't turn a blind eye to "baggage" that would and did come along. I hope he doesn't hurt himself in some way. He has no one to blame but himself for the consequences of his actions and he should pay the cost of them. I would hope what friends, family, and neighbors he does have will come to aid in his in his time of need by showing support. But at the end of the day, it is his choice to do what he wants to do with himself.

This. I can't even drum up an ounce of pity for the guy.

Yep, to not take a small percentage of your earnings that would sustain any of us the rest of our lives (and his kids) and put it away is indefensible.

And it's not like he's had years away from bad behavior, it's been months since his Arena football fiasco.

Unless he starts his own business and finds his niche in life he's gonna have a rough last 40 years or so because others will not be fast to take a chance on him in anything.

Considering his International Football League team cut him because of the following, I don't think he's changed:

In a statement released Tuesday, the Allen (Texas) Wranglers announced that Owens had been cut from the team and would lose his ownership stake in the franchise as well. Wranglers owner Jon Frankel cited Owens' refusal to play in two upcoming road games with possible playoff implications, as well as his no-show for a scheduled appearance at a local children's hospital, as reasons for the dismissal.

"It is impossible to maintain a player when even our fans notice and comment on a player's lack of effort both on and off the field," Frankel said of Owens, who was not contractually obligated to play in all of the team's road games. "We need to do what is best for this team, our fans and this community."

I hate to hear people are having a bad time irregardless of what I think of them personally.

I'm the same way. Maybe he can earn a spot on NFL Network. I would rather listen to him than stupid Cowboy Haters Jamie Dukes, Chris Carter, and Marshall Faulk.

I feel bad for him. Honestly, I always felt his so called "character issues" were exaggerated by the media. The guy had a hard life and yet worked very hard.

TO, Dennis Rodman. Dennis Rodman, TO. It's like looking into the future for you.

I pitty his children, who will grow up to know their father as a bad example for self and life.

For someone always talking passionatley about not growing up with parents of his own, shame on him for rasing kinds that should be ashamed of theirs.

He's a loser with a capital T.O.

I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. He is a hard worker and what's sad is his personality might keep him out of the HOF even though at this point that is the least of his worries. He said his accountant mismanaged his money which is probably true.

His accountant. Always someone else's fault. I'm sure his kids - whom he is not raising or providing for - will accept that convenient apology. Go tell thos abandoned kids how people can't help but feel sorry for the guy.

I don't feel sorry for him one bit, there are billions who are worse off than he is, boohoo

:signmast:

It's sad.

Well he's an interesting person and people who like him and hate him would likely listen to him.

As a human being you have to feel sorry for the guy (unless you're just a jealous hater) - for whatever reason he's got problems and they're problems that no amount of money or opportunity or fame will ever fix. And the bad part is until all the money and fame is gone he'll just be surrounded by enablers who don't want him to get the help he needs so they can keep taking advantage of him.

Felt sorry for Mike Tyson the same way.
